We stopped by Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter the other day to see if there was anything new and exciting going on — and we found something we thought was very interesting. If you’re going to Disney World anytime soon, there’s one hot topic that you NEED to know about…Disney Genie+!

Lightning Lane

The new offering in the theme parks is a paid system ($15 per person, per day) that allows guests to skip the standby lines for certain rides and attractions, walking instead through the faster-moving Lightning Lanes. Ever since the system was introduced back in October, we’ve seen several changes, and now two more attractions got added to the list!

Remember that line on Disney’s famous PeopleMover attraction that goes, “The PeopleMover is the perfect vehicle for people-watching. So keep your eyes peeled; you never know who you might see!” Well, it turns out you don’t have to take a ride on the PeopleMover to find an unexpected friend in Disney World!

Sometimes, wandering off the beaten path or visiting the aquarium can lead you to a character sighting — we love when that happens! During our recent visit to the Magic Kingdom, we found TWO characters hanging out in a new location!

Sure, it’s fun to scream your head off on Space Mountain, and we love sharing Disney snacks with friends, but having a fun conversation with Mickey Mouse is pretty entertaining, too!
