Both are home to tons of fun water attractions and pools, but there’s usually not enough water park traffic to support both being open at the same time, so they switch off each year. Did Disney World Fix This MAJOR Problem with Its New Hotel Perk?

At the start of 2025, Disney rolled out a new perk for guests staying at Disney World hotels: FREE water park tickets on check-in day! According to Disney, these tickets are non-transferrable and cannot be used on a different day, even if the water park is closed due to weather or other factors. However, one of our readers recently had a different experience.

It’s time for a NEW Disney World perk!

Disney World has announced that in 2025, those staying at Disney hotels will get a FREE ticket to the water parks on their arrival day. You’ll be able to use this perk at either Blizzard Beach Water Park or Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, but only on your check-in day. But, if you’re hoping to use this perk tomorrow — you’re out of luck.
