So get ready, because you’re going to need your park tickets loaded on this galactic gadget before you can pilot the Millennium Falcon!
As you travel to a galaxy far, far away to experience Batuu, you can also transport yourself to a time before Rey, Kylo Ren, and the First Order.
During the rule of the past Galactic Empire, Coruscant was the city that never slept. Literally, the whole planet was one big city, you guys. And, with the hub-bub of such a busy metropolitan area, there’s usually bound to be a good place to get a drink (or two) — just like the latest menu addition to Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
In the Star Wars universe, Takodana is a beautiful planet covered in picturesque lakes and stunning greenery where Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs previously created dishes for Maz Kanata in her castle. Now that he’s docked for a bit in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu in Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge, he’s created a Takodana namesake drink that may take green to the next level!
Rebels, spies, and DFB readers alike can take a soft landing in Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge for a quick, boozy drink before continuing on their journeys throughout Batuu.
It’s FINALLY time to travel to a galaxy far, far away…in Disney World!
While many of us will have to wait until August 29th to see Galaxy’s Edge in person, the newest Hollywood Studios land will be opening the doors to Batuu for Annual Passholders a little bit earlier.
Happy weekend! We’ve been hard at work in the parks scoping out all the latest news for you, which is compiled here! First, a few things to remember…

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now OPEN at Disneyland and will open August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Check out all our Disneyland Galaxy’s Edge coverage to start planning for Disney World (the two lands will be virtually identical!)!
Now — on to the news!
We have a lot to share with you this week, so let’s jump right in…
While we’re anxiously awaiting the opening of Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Hollywood Studios is likely very busy preparing.
Today, we got confirmation from Disney World’s website that the March of the First Order will have its last performance on Hollywood Boulevard on Saturday, July 6.
Imagine how magical it would be to become a Disney World Cast Member. Now, imagine how much MORE otherworldy it would be to become an opening day Cast Member for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
In this heartwarming video, Cast Members find out they’re destined to dwell in Batuu!
Ignite the spark! Or maybe even….for the Order? Whether you’re Team Resistance or Team First Order, you’re going to want to know the lingo while you’re visiting the planet of Batuu. You’re not just visiting Disneyland, you are actually traveling to a galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Cast members in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are playing the part of Batuu citizens — so they won’t know what you mean when you ask where the bathroom is or where to find a store that sells Resistance merchandise. You might have to ask them a few times before you get the answer you need. You’ll even notice that the alphabet that is used on Batuu is Aurebesh, one of the most common languages in the galaxy, but pretty unknown here on Earth.
If you updated your Play Disney Parks app overnight, you may have noticed a BRAND NEW preview of the app’s integration with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge AND updated park maps that include Galaxy’s Edge!
When you open the app, you’ll now have access to a Preview Video for the Star Wars Datapad. You’ll find it via an icon on the park maps! [Read more…]
opens in Disneyland on May 31 and in Walt Disney World on August 29. In addition to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, lots of new merchandise locations, and plenty of intergalactic immersion, we’re really looking forward to the food (and drinks!). Black Spire Outpost will play host to three new eateries and two new watering holes — you know we’re gonna try ’em all!
When Galaxy’s Edge opens, we’re going to need a quick burst of energy to fuel the fun. Enter: Milk Stand. This stand will serve up — you guessed it! — milk (well…kinda)! But since this is the planet Batuu, it’s Blue Milk! And since this is actually Florida, this non-dairy drink will be soft-frozen like a milkshake to keep us cool in the Outpost!
Milk Stand will also serve Green Milk, which Disney says has a refreshing citrus component. [Read more…]
