It’s almost summer, friends!
And we’re gearing up for the warm weather with plenty of colorful treats — including a few for Pride Month! But today, we popped by a sweet shop in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for some strawberry snacks.
Guys. We HAVE to talk about the Everest Base Camp Macaroon.
It popped up at Thirsty River Bar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom earlier this month, and we were OBSESSED. This spin on Disneyland’s iconic Matterhorn Macaroon tasted SO GOOD. It was coconut, chocolate, and green tea paradise, and we just couldn’t get enough.
Here at DFB, dining in Disney World is kinda our thing (food is in our name, after all!).
We’re here to give you the lowdown on all the best snacks, most amazing restaurants, and all the foods that you can probably skip for your next Disney trip. Usually, each year we put out a list of restaurants that offer the best value within the realm of the Disney Dining Plan (meaning PRICIER fast food options to max out that value), but since the Dining Plan isn’t available this year, we’re sharing our list of quick-service restaurants at Disney World that’ll give you the best bang for your buck in 2021!
We’re back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today to see if this park can keep its crown as reigning snack champion from last week!
While strolling through Pandora, a new breakfast item caught our eye at the ACE Mobile Treats cart, so of course, we had to give it a try.
Guys. Disney World just put a spin on an ICONIC Disneyland treat.
We’re gonna take a trip wayyy back to 2010 in Disneyland. That’s when the Matterhorn Macaroon arrived at Blue Ribbon Bakery! It quickly became a west coast staple — people (yup, including us) loved this little guy! In fact, we loved it so much that we figured out how to make it at home. And you can still enjoy the coconut-y, white chocolate goodness at Jolly Holiday Bakery! But Disney World just came out with its OWN version of the Matterhorn Macaroon…and we’ve gotta say, we’re impressed.
We’ve been tryin’ ALL the green eats and treats in Disney World lately!
From cupcakes to ice cream sammies to peppermint drinks, we’ve been ringing in St. Patrick’s Day with LOTS of feasting. And while we’re pretty sure this new Animal Kingdom drink isn’t an official St. Paddy’s Day item, it’s green…so we’re gonna count it! Let’s get sippin’.
The St. Patrick’s Day treats have officially arrived in Disney World!
We’ve been diving straight into these seasonal snacks, from cupcakes to panna cotta to Shamrock Shakes! And over at Dino-Bite Snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one of our favorite treats is BACK for another year.
Many of us are missing Baby Yoda making a weekly appearance on our screen, and now a new Disney baby is making its way to the big screen.
Raya and the Last Dragon will debut in theaters and on Disney+ Premiere Access soon (on March 5th, 2021) and Disney is making all the preparations! Unlike the Baby Yoda merchandise debacle, Raya’s adorable side-kick Tuk Tuk is already taking over Disney World. And, we’re pretty okay with a Baby Tuk Tuk invasion.
We’re getting excited for the March 5th release of Raya and the Last Dragon!
It seems like the Disney parks are getting in the Raya spirit, too! We’ve seen an ENORMOUS sand sculpture (we’re talking 40 tons of sand, people) and some new merchandise. But now, Disney’s celebrating the release with what we do best here at DFB: food.
We’re totally fine with Disney rolling out the holiday treats early. We already had a Valentine’s Day Red Hot Cinnamon Cupcake that was the bomb dot com.
We noticed that another Valentine’s treat has arrived a month and a half in advance. The crowd-favorite Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich is back for the most romantic time of the year. But. Um. It’s not quite what we remember.
