BIG changes are coming at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
At D23 this year, we got a better look at the Tropical Americas. This land will take over the existing Dinoland USA meaning that the beloved Dinosaur ride is coming to extinction. We’re here to tell you when it will close and take a closer look at what is coming in its place.
There are huge changes are coming to Animal Kingdom!
At Destination D23 last year, it was announced that a Tropical Americas-themed land would take the place of DinoLand U.S.A. Well, at D23 this past August, we got more details about what is to come when this new area, now named Pueblo Esperanza. This new land is set to open by 2027 as construction will be done in different phases. This new land will feature three brand-new rides! But there is one ride that we have some bad news about.
Can you believe it?! It won’t be too long before we get Pueblo Esperanza in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!!
Back during the D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we had the confirmation of the new Tropical Americas (Pueblo Esperanza) land as well as the new Indiana Jones attraction coming to it. So, specifically we wanted to do a deep dive into the concept art and see if we could glean some info about the new Indiana Jones attraction that’ll be coming to Disney World! [Read more…]
Animal Kingdom is gearing up for some major changes!
It was confirmed at D23 that DinoLand U.S.A.’s days are officially numbered as a new Tropical Americas-themed land, Pueblo Esperanza, will take its place. This new land will feature three brand new rides, including an Indiana Jones ride that will replace DINOSAUR, an Encanto attraction, and a carousel that will feature some of our favorite Disney animals.
We still are not over all the new and exciting announcements from D23!
In case you missed it, D23, The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, took place earlier this month in Anaheim, California, and Disney gave us a glimpse at a bunch of new projects. During the Park Panel, we found out about additions coming to Disney Cruise Line, the international parks, Disneyland, and, of course, Disney World. Each of Disney World’s four parks is slated to get new additions. While it has been a long time coming, it was officially announced that DinoLand U.S.A. will transform into a Tropical Americas Land by 2027. There were three rides announced for this overhaul, but people seem only to be talking about two of the attractions.
D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is just around the corner!
This huge Disney event will begin on August 9th in Anaheim, California, and will feature Disney executives, panels, entertainment, and TONS of announcements. At these big events, we typically expect some exciting news from the company. We may hear about new lands, new rides, new shows, new entertainment, and so much more. While this is what all of us Disney fans get excited about each year, it may be important to point out that not ALL these announcements always come true. Here’s a list of six announcements from past D23 events that we have yet to see come to life, and why some of it might need to be taken with a grain of salt.
It’s certainly no secret that Disney World has gone through some significant changes lately — and more updates are on the way.
Disney has confirmed that a Dinoland U.S.A. re-theme in Animal Kingdom and a Beyond Big Thunder Mountain in Magic Kingdom are currently in the works, though they’ve been keeping the specifics of those projects pretty quiet. A while back, Disney filed a patent that led us to believe a potential Moana ride was in the works, and now we have an update!
Planning a trip to Disney World can get pretty complicated as is, but is it possible it will get even trickier in the future?
When it comes to how many days you should spend at Disney World, we have our thoughts. Although there is technically no right answer (it always depends on you and your family), the question of how long your stay should be at The Most Magical Place on Earth to minimize regrets and maximize fun is starting to get harder to answer.
The dust has begun to settle as we learn more about the future of the Disney Parks, but does that mean even bigger expansion isn’t on the horizon? Not quite.
Over in California, DisneylandForward is full steam ahead and we’ve recently gotten more news about both Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom expansions over at Disney World. Without a doubt, these imminent plans will be Disney’s main focus over the next several years. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean we should shelve talks about a larger Disney World expansion and the creation of a fifth theme park.
