It’s something simple we love to do with our weekends but it turns out going to the movies just got more expensive in 2025.
Is there something in the air? Did AMC give one rogue employee full creative control of the merchandise department? We don’t know what’s going on at the AMC Theaters headquarters, but those mad geniuses seem to know how to get people talking.

The Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film was a wild success, and — of all things — an AMC popcorn bucket went totally viral during the Dune 2 release. Even SNL was talking about it! AMC is not afraid to push the envelope. And now, they’ve teased a NEW souvenir that has some real potential to rival the infamous Dune 2 popcorn bucket. Wait until you see it.

Okay, we will admit that Disney has come up with some pretty cute popcorn buckets in the past. Most recently, a 100th Anniversary Cinderella Carriage popcorn bucket SOLD OUT in a matter of days. What’s the secret, Disney?

Is it just us, or is Disney’s Encanto movie starting to feel like it’s reaching Frozen-level fame? Every so often, Disney creates a movie so charming and fun that we’re left thinking about it weeks — or even months — later. With the audience’s reaction to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” breaking records and a groundswell of love for Mirabel, it’s safe to assume Encanto is quickly becoming a beloved Disney movie.

There’s been a lot of speculation about whether or not AMC could survive the summer since they shut down all of their movie theaters in the U.S. as well as the U.K. due to the current global health crisis.

And while the company had previously announced they would keep their theaters closed until studios began releasing new movies, they are currently working on a plan to reopen as many AMC theaters by July as they can.
