Universal Orlando Launches National Epic Universe Portal Tour

We’re SO close to the opening of Universal Orlando’s new theme park, Epic Universe, and the excitement is building for a lot of people (us included).

Epic Universe will bring five new themed lands to Universal Orlando, as well as three new hotels — it’s going to be, well, EPIC. Well, if you can’t get to Orlando to see Epic Universe for yourself, Universal is bringing Epic Universe to you! Universal just announced the Epic Universe Portal tour coming to select cities this spring and summer.

Get a Look Inside a NEW Experience Coming to Epic Universe

We are counting down the days until Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe, opens on May 22nd, 2025! Universal is slowly releasing more and more details about what to expect inside the park, and now we are getting a look inside one of Epic Universe’s new experiences.

Universal released an exclusive look inside the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience at Epic Universe. This experience is located inside Dark Universe and allows guests aged 5 and up to transform into monsters.

NEW Permit Filed for Universal Orlando Roller Coaster Replacement

Epic Universe isn’t the only new thing coming to Universal Orlando!

A recently filed permit confirmed that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit would be closed and demolished, and eventually replaced by another attraction. Of course, Universal hasn’t clued us into what this new attraction might be, but it does look like things are quickly moving forward as another permit has been filed for this project.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey To Temporarily Close at Universal Orlando SOON

Okay, let’s talk about Universal Orlando. Yes, we know, we know — we’ve been talking about Universal Orlando a lot, but can you blame us? Epic Universe is opening so soon and we’ve had SO many details to share about the new park recently.

So, as you may know, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be expanding thanks to Epic Universe, when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic opens with the new park. However, let’s take it back to the ORIGINAL Wizarding World park, Universal Islands of Adventure. One of the first Harry Potter rides (and still one of the more popular rides in the park) will be closing soon. Yep, we’re talking about Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
