September 15th to October 15th was Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, and the Disney Parks marked the celebration in a myriad of ways. From special character sightings to new performances in the parks to brand-new food items, the celebration was certainly a big deal at Disney!
Well, to add to the celebration, Disney announced that Cinderella’s Royal Table was featuring a new menu item: Creamy Plantain Soup. Even though the soup is gone from this restaurant now, you can make this tasty dish at home!
Did someone say GUMBO!? We are now drooling!
We just celebrated National Gumbo Day at Tiana’s Palace in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park and it left us wanting to learn how to make Tiana’s House Gumbo at home — and now we can!
It’s no secret that California Grill is one of our FAVORITE fine dining restaurants at Disney World. Located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, this Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant has a 3-course meal that makes us hungry just thinking about it.

Thanks to D23, now YOU can make a little piece of that menu at home!
We’re big fans of Disney’s Encanto, and we’ve always wanted to try one of Mirabel’s mom’s famous arepas. The healing powers were a plus, but we also just wanted to try that tasty traditional Colombian food!
Luckily, our dreams of getting a bite of one of the Madrigal family’s arepas are finally coming true! How do you even begin a task like this? Well, we’ll tell you! [Read more…]
We love that Disney has food options for everyone, even those with food allergies and sensitivities.
Table service restaurants are typically better at accommodating than quick service locations, and chefs will even come out to speak with your table about the allergens! If you’re someone who eats a plant-based diet, you’ll love that you can now make one popular plant-based Disney dessert at home!
How did you celebrate Dole Whip Day on July 20th?
We spent Dole Whip Day in the parks (of course), with one thing on our mind: Dole Whip. In the past, we’ve enjoyed TONS of Dole Whip-inspired treats. One of our absolute favorite Dole Whip Snacks, though, is the Dole Whip Cupcake — and y’all, Disney just released the recipe so that we can make it at home! Oh, happy day!
If you have a sweet tooth, this one was meant for you.
What’s better than Ghirardelli Chocolate and the Castle?
We all have our favorite Disney treats that can satisfy our sweet tooth. We love chocolate and it’s hard to say no to Disney sweets. Especially if they come from Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop in Disney Springs! Well, Ghirardelli just gave us a gift that keeps giving and we’ve got another Disney recipe for you.
On June 18th, 2023, prepare to celebrate one of the most popular foods among seafood lovers — sushi!
Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs
We’ve been celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month at Disney recently, but that doesn’t mean we’re done celebrating just yet! Disney’s Iron Chef Morimoto of Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs is sharing a savory, simple recipe that you can make for any occasion! [Read more…]
One of the most classic Disney snacks of all time has GOT to be beignets. These warm, fluffy treats that you can find in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World come in all sorts of flavors that we’ve been obsessing over throughout the years.
So imagine our delight when we saw that Disney had blessed us with a recipe on recreating Tiana’s beignets at home! We have a feeling we know EXACTLY what we’ll be doing this weekend!
