This weekend, Disney hosted the massive D23 Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California. The sprawling convention broke news from across Disney’s spectrum of offerings, including films, television streaming, video games, and parks.
Disney CEO Bob Iger is on his second go-around of the position at the company.

Iger was CEO of the Walt Disney Company from 2005 to 2020. In 2020, Iger was replaced by Bob Chapek, however, the Board of Directors removed Chapek in November of 2022 and reinstated Iger as CEO. Since his return, conversations regarding his next successor have been paramount. His contract has already been extended once since his return, but now finding the next CEO of Disney is a top priority for him and the Board of Directors. Iger can’t last forever at Disney, and that’s why we found the 2024 Q3 earnings call to be an interesting one.
One of the most important things you’ll pack for Disney World — if not THE most important thing you’ll pack — is comfortable shoes! Disney’s theme parks are big, which means you’ll be walking a LOT during your vacation. We’re talking tens of thousands of steps. You don’t want to get a blister and be in pain or unable to do everything during your trip!

February tends to be a slower season at Disney World, but is there really even a slow season in Disney World anymore? Winter break is over, and fewer families are taking vacations since kids are back in school, but it could be different in February of 2025.

Every week, we check the average Disney World wait times in every park so that you can be prepared for your next trip to Orlando! This week, a Magic Kingdom classic saw a jump in its average wait time, while Disney World’s busiest ride got even busier!
Space Mountain
With Peter Pan down for its first full week, Space Mountain saw a large jump in its average wait time at the Magic Kingdom. Meanwhile, Disney World’s longest average wait time was for Flight of Passage, as usual, which jumped over 10 minutes this week.
