Not only did we get a reopening date of April 30th for the resort, but we also know when the Grand Californian Resort and Spa will reopen and we know details about reservations being required for theme park access, what won’t be available at the theme parks (at least temporarily), and how the parks will only be open for California residents.

After being closed for OVER a year, Disney’s California theme parks are FINALLY going to be reopening very soon!
And soon one of the Disneyland Resort hotels — Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa — will be reopening to guests as well!
A Touch of Disney at Disney California Adventure officially kicks off this week!

After a bumpy start of trying to purchase tickets, we couldn’t be more excited to head to the event on March 18th! The event will feature several food booths, characters, and more, plus guests will get to visit more of Disney California Adventure than just Buena Vista Street.
Earlier this year, Disneyland announced that it would be discontinuing its Annual Passholder program.
We’ve gotten a few indications about what Disneyland’s new passholder program could look like, although no new membership has been announced yet. But, fans with active Disneyland Annual Passholder memberships as of March 14th, 2020, who are now known as Disneyland Legacy Passholders, have still been able to get some discounts on food and merchandise all around Disneyland. And now some Disneyland Legacy Passholder discounts are being extended!
It’s been exactly one year since Disneyland Resort closed its doors.

Several other Disney Parks have opened, although Hong Kong Disneyland has closed and reopened again, and Disneyland Paris has closed and has not reopened again. But, has Disneyland remained closed throughout the year due to California’s strict theme park reopening guidelines.
Disneyland is set to host a ticketed event inside of one of its theme parks, the theme parks themselves are aiming to reopen in late April, and NOW more change may be on the way.
Currently, Orange County is in the purple or most restrictive reopening tier in California, where things like indoor dining are prohibited. But, that’s all about to change!!
Disneyland Resort is currently aiming to reopen its theme parks in late April, at which point its parks will have already been closed for a FULL year.
What will be available when Disneyland’s theme parks reopen? Will there be FASTPASS or Disney MaxPass? Well, a lot of details still haven’t been shared, but we do have information now about some of the things that Disneyland fans WON’T have available to them when the parks reopen.
