What’s NEW at Disney’s Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs Resorts?
A lot of construction! Both resorts are seeing lots of new additions from the Skyliner System to BRAND NEW resorts. Caribbean Beach, of course, is adjacent to the new Riviera Resort and with that proximity comes a lot of action!
While the Riviera Resort isn’t a part of Caribbean Beach Resort, guests are still feeling the impact of it’s construction. Just how much will this construction affect your visit? Read on to find out!

Just last week we discussed some of the Mediterranean-inspired cuisine coming to Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera.
This rooftop restaurant at Disney’s upcoming Riviera Resort will provide a setting with “stunning visual aesthetics of modern interpretations of Italian and French textures, colors, and carvings mingled with stonework that harkens to what can be found in ancient European villages along the coastline.” [Read more…]
The upcoming Disney’s Riviera Resort released booking availability in January for dates starting December 16, 2019. That release came accompanied by information regarding the restaurants that will be part of this resort inspired by the Walt and Lillian Disney’s travels along the Mediterranean coastline.
Today brings more information about Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, which will be the signature rooftop restaurant for the resort. Disney World’s newest transportation option, the Disney Skyliner System, has been testing gondolas on the lines over the past couple of weeks. Now, it looks like they are testing the system at full capacity and speed near the Hollywood Studios Skyliner Station.
Those are actual gondolas, not the test gondolas we first saw at the beginning of the month. We can even see some of the artwork on the gondolas through the tarps.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
coming to Walt Disney World is currently accepting guest reservations for dates starting December 16, 2019. And we have more information today about what guests can expect to enjoy when it comes to the resort’s pools and additional features.
The feature pool will be the Riviera Pool, which will also present the S’il Vous Play interactive water play area featuring characters from Fantasia and inspired by the grand public fountains found in Europe. A “whimsical fountain” will be set within a patina and limestone-inspired design that will make up the area. [Read more…]
Disney just announced that the new Riviera Resort, opening this December, will feature a lounge that honors Walt Disney’s travels through Europe.
The new lounge will be called Voyageurs’ Lounge and according to Disney will offer guests an “an artful little gathering place” to relax and share vacation memories.
