Holiday decorations at Magic Kingdom
Disney starts celebrating the holidays particularly early. In fact, there are already holiday decorations up in some areas of the parks! But, after Halloween, things really kick into high gear, with Christmas trees going up and, most importantly, special holiday FOOD being released! We recently found out about the food coming to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Disney Springs, but we just now learned about ALL the food coming to the Disney World hotels!
If you’ve been to Disney World before, chances are you know that feeling: you just want to get from one side of Magic Kingdom to the other, but you’re met with a wall of crowds or a parade or cavalcade, slowing you down big time! Well, did you know that there are SECRET walkways that can help you avoid those crowds?

Okay, so maybe these walkways aren’t a complete secret, but there are often-overlooked walkways in the parks that can help you save some time while getting from point A to point B — or, at least it will make your walk more pleasant and crowd-free. With the 50th Anniversary Celebration bringing in plenty of visitors, it’s more important than ever to be aware of where the shortcuts and alternate routes are in the parks!

One of the newest restaurants in Disney World is Steakhouse 71, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The restaurant’s theme is a nod to Disney World’s opening in 1971, and the decorations, artwork, and furniture reflect that time period in an upscale but nostalgic way. We’ve eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Steakhouse 71 now, plus we visited the lounge to try some bites and drinks there. So when is the BEST time to eat at this new spot?
