But to keep that status going, we have to check back in on Disney restaurants whenever they’ve made major changes or updates…and that’s exactly what we did recently with a Downtown Disney spot.

Beignets Expressed in Disneyland
So, as you know, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney has been renovated into Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio (and recently opened per their Instagram account). Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen Express also just got an update and recently reopened as Beignets Expressed. Yep, this is a spot that is ALL about beignets, with MULTIPLE flavors to try. So we, obviously, had to go see — and taste — it for ourselves!

And while visiting Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, we always save time to explore the Downtown Disney District. With fantastic restaurants and fun gift shops to explore, we recommend enjoying at least one (or more!) of your meals here.

Two new restaurants are coming to Downtown Disney. A classic ride will close to be reimagined into a NEW ride. A brand new ToonTown just opened. But that isn’t all that’s new at Disneyland, so let’s take a look at the latest updates.
Okay, there’s nothing that gets us more excited than NEW DISNEY FOOD. That is…after all, our first AND middle name: Disney and Food.
Clyde’s Hot Chicken
So we’re super excited about all the new Guardians of the Galaxy snacks coming to Disney Parks, as well as all the new Star Wars treats. However, what we’re REALLY stoked about is Clyde’s Hot Chicken, which just opened in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney. So join us as we head on over there to try some spicy chicken!

Salt & Straw in Disney World
Well, you’re probably familiar with Salt & Straw in Disney Springs (there’s also a shop in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney), which offers up some super unique ice cream flavors (we once even ate BUG ice cream there). Well, some new ice cream flavors are dropping in May, and they’re all about encouraging us to eat flowers.
