Very Merriest After Hours
From holiday events like Disney World’s Boo Bash and Disneyland’s Merriest Nites to special events just for Disney Vacation Club members, they’re a great way to hang out in the parks after closing time and enjoy things you wouldn’t usually get to do! One of these events that’s a big hit is Grad Nite at Disneyland Resort, which is actually returning this year. And now, a NEW kind of Grad Nite after hours event is coming to Disneyland!

The Main Street Electrical Parade is back!
We’ve been spending some time at Disneyland, enjoying the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade, the snacks that came with it, AND the return of the Disneyland Forever Fireworks and Disney California Adventure’s World of Color. It’s been a blast! We’ve also been checking out everything new, so let’s get on with some updates!

Disneyland may have reopened to guests just one year ago, but the resort has seen quite a few changes to health and safety measures in that time period.
Sleeping Beauty Castle
When the parks first reopened, face masks were required almost everywhere. That quickly changed to face masks becoming optional outside, and then again becoming optional almost everywhere for vaccinated guests. The only place that has kept mask requirements in place for everyone (ages 2 and older) was on enclosed transportation like Disney shuttles. But, that has now changed.
Nighttime Spectaculars have returned to Disneyland, and it’s something worth celebrating!
Main Street Electrical Parade Finale
Our nights have become much brighter, thanks to the return of the Disneyland Forever fireworks, World of Color, and Main Street Electrical Parade! Along with the new parade-themed popcorn bucket, sipper, and merchandise, new treats arrived to celebrate the special occasion — and one of them will melt if you don’t act fast!
Since reopening after the 2020 closure, Disneyland Resort has been missing a BIG chunk of its evening entertainment.

But now, several popular nighttime shows are BACK at the California parks! Both Main Street Electrical Parade and the Disneyland Forever fireworks have returned to Disneyland Park, and World of Color is back at Disney California Adventure. We told you that World of Color would be using a virtual queue system upon its return, so now that it’s back, we had to go check it out!
Slowly but surely, more entertainment offerings are returning to the Disney parks.
Disney California Adventure
Tonight is the official return of the Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever at Disneyland Park in California. But, Disneyland isn’t the only park getting some nighttime love. Tonight, a spectacular nighttime show returns to Disney California Adventure Park, and we couldn’t be more excited!
It’s no secret: we’re HUGE fans of Minnie Ears around here! Seriously, every time we think we’ve reached our limit, or added enough to our collection, Disney just keeps releasing MORE!
So shiny and new.
It’s also not surprising that our favorite Minnie Ears, in both Disney World and Disneyland, happen to be food-related. We are Disney FOOD Blog, after all!
Round up the gang and settle in for a little story — or should we say, a little Toy Story. ? Over in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania draws some big lines and invites some fierce competition. (Seriously, getting the “Best in Vehicle” score is SO exciting) Every once in a while, though, the game goes awry and playtime is over sooner than expected.
