Some restaurants are true winners in Disney World, and others are far from it.
Pizzafari
For as long as we can remember, we haven’t recommended eating at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom unless you’re looking for puffy pizza specifically, or you’ve got a picky group and need something simple to appease everyone. Otherwise, we typically stay far away from this generic spot, but something wild happened on our last visit — we grabbed three items that actually had us VERY impressed!
Good news! A fan-favorite Disney World perk is coming back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is one of — if not the most — unique Disney Parks in the world. Offering plenty of fun attractions and close looks at real exotic animals, we can’t recommend this theme park enough. With that said, there is one caveat — at least where the general public is concerned — that will be slightly alleviated this summer thanks to a returning perk!
Walt Disney World hasn’t opened a new theme park in nearly 30 years, and an argument could be made that they really should have.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Over the first 30 years of its existence, the Walt Disney World Resort added theme parks with relative regularity. After the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, EPCOT Center came along in 1982, the Disney-MGM Studios in 1989, and Animal Kingdom in 1998. However, for the last 27 years, the company has taken another approach. Instead of opening a new park, Disney has instead added to their preexisting parks, for better or worse.

Disney just made a ton of new announcements about what we can expect during this year’s “Cool Kid Summer,” which runs from May 27th to September 1st, and there’s something to experience in every single park. Don’t worry, we’re breaking it all down here so you’re prepared and know what to expect!

We don’t want you to be disappointed when you roll up to your favorite ride only to find out it is closed for refurbishment.

There are TWO big changes to the closures in Disney World this week, and we want to make sure you are aware of them. Plus, we are also rounding up everything else that will be closed this week.

We don’t encourage breaking rules, but if you haven’t wanted to pay for your PhotoPass photos, you have been able to screenshot them in the app, as long as you don’t mind the logo across the photo. However, we’re sorry to say that this has now CHANGED!
There are plenty of WILD things to do at Disney World that you can’t do anywhere else, but the wildest ones happen at (where else?!) Animal Kingdom!

This park isn’t just home to excellent rides, stellar restaurants, and incredible character experiences; it’s also home to some seriously amazing animals. There are plenty of trails and, of course, Kilimanjaro Safaris, but the BEST way to really get up close and personal with the animals is on the Wild Africa Trek — some come along with us!
