From sinking boats to malfunctioning animatronics to Skyliner crashes, we’ve seen it all! Some attractions are more prone to breaking down than others, but Disney tries to keep things in check with regular refurbishments. Today, a BIG Disney attraction broke down and guests had to be evacuated — from a very precarious location!
If we’re being honest, we here at DFB really love old-school EPCOT.

With the EPCOT transformation coming in the near future, we’ve been feeling really nostalgic for the park that we loved in the 80s and 90s! We’ve tasted A LOT of cupcakes over the years, and we like to think of ourselves as experts in the Disney cupcake world. Just recently, we’ve reviewed the Menagerie Cupcake, the Twice Upon a Christmas Cupcake, the Olaf’s Snow Flurry cupcake, AND the Simba cupcake. That’s a lot of cupcakes! But now, another holiday cupcake has returned to Walt Disney World, and you know we had to try it!
It’s no secret that we here at DFB really love the holiday season!

We love the decorations, the specially-themed snacks, and this year, we’ve really been enjoying the character cavalcades at Walt Disney World! But, like many others, we also really love to celebrate the holiday season outside of the Disney Parks — curled up on our couch watching Christmas movies. If you also love spending this time of year wrapped in a warm blanket and watching classics like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, then we’ve got the perfect job for you!

EPCOT’s undergoing a big transformation, complete with new attractions, new restaurants, and lots of “beautifying.” Cinderella Castle recently got a paint job, and now Disney’s updating many of the signs around property to match the color scheme. With all these changes, Disney likes to keep their online park maps as up-to-date as possible, and we’ve recently seen some new additions on Magic Kingdom’s map. Today, we just so happened to notice something new on another park’s map as well!
Disney really knows how to celebrate the holidays!
Holiday Character Cavalcade
From over-the-top decorations to delicious and Instagrammable snacks, there’s so much to see and do in the parks. This year alone we’ve seen Christmas-themed character cavalcades, special projections on park icons, tons of holiday merchandise, and just a general feel of Christmas cheer in the parks! But, Disney doesn’t stop their jolliness with the theme parks, because they’re also known for some exciting holiday programming, and this year will be no exception!
Nothing screams “holiday season” quite like chocolate!

Disney knows this, and they’ve incorporated it heavily into their celebrations! We’ve seen chocolate sculptures at the resorts, including a chocolate monorail, a gingerbread and chocolate village, and chocolate Mickey and Minnie figurines. We’ve also tried SEVERAL chocolate holiday treats, ranging from drinks to cakes and everything in-between! If you’re missing the chocolatey goodness from the parks, then we’ve got the perfect solution for you — you can combine Disney and chocolate at home!
2020 may technically be the Year of the Rat, but it sure feels like the Year of Baby Yoda to us!

We’ve seen bags, shirts, toys, phone accessories, and more! Disney even introduced a special Magic Shot to commemorate “The Year of Baby Yoda”. We’ve compiled entire lists of gifts dedicated to this little green alien, and now we’re taking it back to the very beginning — the OG “The Child” plush is now on sale!
Disney’s fan club, D23, has been releasing a new limited-edition Mickey Mouse plush each month of 2020!

We’ve seen a kaleidoscope Mickey, a fireworks Mickey, a floral Mickey, a golden Mickey, and even a Mickey plush covered in smaller Mickeys. But the latest design is warming our hearts and making us smile because the November Mickey Mouse plush is wearing something very special!

This year, we’ve seen shirts, Crocs, plushes, backpacks, and of course, popcorn buckets! People go crazy for the popcorn buckets (Especially holiday ones!), and this year’s Christmas tree popcorn bucket has been hard to come by. Today, we finally saw the bucket restocked in Disney World!
