The biggest Disney fan event of the year is taking place in Disney World this year, but you had to be VERY lucky to snatch up a ticket!
Last year, it was all about the D23 Expo in Anaheim, but in 2023 the big event is Destination D23 in Walt Disney World. The event will celebrate 100 years of Disney with presentations from Disney archivists and Imagineers, a presentation from Josh D’Amaro (Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman) about “what makes a Disney experience so magical,” a look at Disney’s “limitless future,” special shopping experiences, and much more. The event will take place from September 8th-10th at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but the ticket-buying experience gave us a little deja-vu.

A NEW restaurant is opening soon in Hollywood Studios, another new spot is coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, and there are new restaurants in the works for Disney Springs and a Disney area hotel. But in Magic Kingdom, Disney has a new snack spot now open in Tomorrowland near TRON Lightcycle / Run and now we’ve gotten a full look at pricing details for those eats and drinks!

A number of changes have impacted Disney’s executive leadership team in recent months, and now more changes are taking place.
Bob Chapek left the CEO position in November of 2022, and Bob Iger returned to the CEO position. Since then, we’ve seen a number of executives leave, and others announce their return. Plus, Iger announced a major restructuring of some of the Company’s departments. So what’s happening now? Well, it seems the leadership team is changing again.

MAJOR changes are happening at Disney World hotels!
Refurbishment work has been announced for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Kidani Village, Narcoossee’s will reopen soon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and even the iconic lobby at the Grand Floridian is getting some updates. At Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, many other changes are underway including changes to the rooms, lobby, and surrounding area. And now we’ve got another update.

Free parking is back at Disney World’s hotels, a Park Pass change has been announced, a massive restructuring of the Company has been revealed to fix a Bob Chapek “mistake,” and Iger has hinted at some other changes that could mark a “stark reversal in strategy” at the Company. Now, he’s discussed another matter where he and Chapek might not have necessarily seen eye to eye.
