The Tambu Lounge in Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort is a well-loved spot. Known for cocktails like the Lapu Lapu (served in a pineapple) and the Backscratcher as well as single servings of ‘Ohana’s famous Bread Pudding, it’s not a Disney vacation for many guests without a stop at this little cove.
But change is coming to Tambu Lounge. According to Tikiman’s Unofficial Polynesian Resort Pages on Facebook, Tambu will close after the 4th of July and will remain closed for about two months. This temporary closure will result in an expansion to the lounge to add another well for a barterer, and also add a side station for a cocktail server.

We’ve known for some time that the immersive Star Wars Resort is going to be — according to Disney — “seamlessly connected” to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios, which is slated to open in late fall 2019.
But it will be connected in more ways than simply in story. Today Disney has confirmed the location of the Star Wars Resort!
Starting last week, Disneyland Annual Passholders were able to access Mobile Order at Counter Service locations all over Disneyland Resort. But now, all guests visiting Disneyland are able to utilize the service!
As a refresher, Mobile Order is a process available via the Disneyland app which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service restaurants, thereby avoiding time spent in line! (Here’s a tip: if you aren’t seeing the icon allowing you to “Order Food” in your Disneyland app, be sure to install the latest update. )

Disney World Starbucks locations will be operating on limited hours today — May 29, 2018 — to take part in mandatory company-wide training by Starbucks.
The Disney World in-park locations — Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Bakery, Epcot’s Fountain View, Animal Kingdom’s Creature Comforts, and Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios — will all be closed from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm EST, as reflected on the screenshot above. [Read more…]
Pixar Fest is still very much on in Disneyland Resort! And starting this Friday, June 1st, the Pixar Fest Classic Afternoon Tea Celebration at Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel will add to the offerings!
The Pixar Fest Classic Afternoon Tea is now available for booking from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from June 1 through September 2, 2018.
Cost for the Classic Tea Party (which includes Pixar-themed scones, salads, tea sandwiches, pastries and other sweets along with your selection of tea) is $52.00 per adult. The Premium Tea Party (which also includes a Sparkling Wine) is $60 for of-age guests. The Kids’ Tea Party is $35.00.
LOTS of changes are in store (and some are already in progress) at Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort. If you tuned into the DFB last week, you may have seen the in-progress pics of the construction of the tower that will add 500 rooms to the already expansive Resort.
We know that the addition of the tower will also deliver a rooftop dining experience to the Resort, complete with fireworks viewing!
And we’re also intrigued by the waterfront (or perhaps better said as on-the-water) dining option on the way, though less is known about it.

If you are planning on going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party later this year, then you should know that Mickey loves to treat all his guests to a larger-than-life Fireworks Spectacular as part of the evening’s events!
With the return of both parties will be the return of the Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party and the Holiday Wishes Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.
Both parties offer guests the chance to view party fireworks from Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and enjoy a buffet full of themed desserts and specialty drinks (for an additional fee). And — similar to the Fireworks Dessert Parties available throughout the year for the Happily Ever After spectacular — there is also an option to book the dessert buffet with a standing view of the fireworks from the Plaza Garden (as opposed to seating at Tomorrowland Terrace).
Here are the details on each:
