Disney is keeping us busy — and excited for the Skyliner opening in 2019! On each of our visits to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, plus any of the resorts along the Skyliner route, we anxiously check out the progress. Yesterday we checked on the progress of the Skyliner Station at Epcot.
This week we got to see them working on a more artistic aspect of the Skyliner, the art on the station roof.
Earlier this morning, we brought you details about the Disney on Broadway Concert Series and Dining Packages for the 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts, which will run from January 18 – February 25, 2019. And now, we have even more news about the event… and it’s our favorite kind: FOOD news!
The Festival of the Arts celebrates the Culinary Arts with Food Studios — much like the Epcot Food and Wine Festival’s Food Booths — presenting enhanced food offerings around the park, with an emphasis on artistic presentation for the unique dishes and drinks. [Read more…]

The 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Arts will run from January 18 – February 25, 2019, celebrating culinary, visual, and performing arts. One way the Festival celebrates the Performing Arts is through the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, which features Broadway performers singing beloved numbers from Disney Musicals. And today, we have the Concert Lineup AND Dining Package information!
New for 2019, Disney on Broadway Concerts will take place daily, and every 2 weeks will feature different pairs of Disney on Broadway Stars performing 3 times per evening (5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM) at the American Gardens Theatre. [Read more…]
It may be Halloween, but we saw a sure sign of Christmas today! The Contemporary Resort’s Gingerbread Castle in Disney World is going up!
We can see the Castle, is in its “new” home for the second year in a row by the windows on the fourth floor. There it is — peeking out from between the Contemporary shops on the Grand Canyon Concourse!
There are signs of change and building anticipation for the arrival of the new land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios all over the park. We checked in on three things on this visit: the changing Tatooine Traders to see the progress of their refurbishment, the work being done for the missing Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away stage show, and finally what we can see of construction progress on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
As you can see, the stage area for Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away is still undergoing some serious work. The show has been on hiatus for almost four weeks, looks like it will be missing for a little while longer!
Hollywood Studios is a changing park these days. In addition to all the work being done for the arrival of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in the Fall of 2019 a new ride is coming to the Chinese Theater, and the former Pixar Place is being transformed into a city block in Municiberg, home of The Incredibles.
The Chinese Theater is being transformed for the new ride, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming in 2019.
One of the activities (besides eating and drinking) at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival that has proven to be popular is Remy’s Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt. We saw a lot of you and your kiddos completing this fun activity this year, and it has been so popular they ran out of the prizes — but don’t despair, new prizes are here!
If you aren’t familiar with this activity, the map is available for purchase at a few locations around Epcot, then you and your kiddo look for a small statue of Remy hidden in each country. When you find it pop the sticker on the map. Once your map is complete you have earned a prize. Originally your prize was one of the plastic cups shown above, but those are now out of stock.
