After a long wait, we’ve FINALLY gotten to experience the revamped Country Bear Musical Jamboree!
It’s back!
Country Bear Jamboree closed in Magic Kingdom in January to give way to the reimagined Country Bear Musical Jamboree — a new show with our favorite Country Bears as they sing classic Disney songs with bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, and rockabilly twists. If you think the new version of this opening-day attraction deviates too much from the original, let us ease your worries. We got to check the new show out and spotted quite a few fun Easter eggs!
Country Bear Musical Jamboree takes inspiration from Nashville Opry-style shows, puts its starts in new costumes, and features a few new changes like “Liver Lips McGrowl” being renamed to Romeo McGrowl.

As for the new show’s plot, it’s really just a celebration of music and Disney songs put on by a group of musical animals, so what’s not to love?
Although the show is very different than what it used to be, there are still a ton of nods and Easter eggs in this new version, and it all starts in the lobby of the theater, where you can check out some memorabilia with references to the original show. You’ll even see paintings of the bears in costumes that mimic their appearances in the original show, along with props and costume pieces on display as “artifacts.”

There are lots of these little artifacts, including punny magazines that reference the original show…
Country Bear Easter Eggs
…and this “bear-scratch” sheet music for the original show’s finale song “Come Again.” There’s also a “pawwritten” setlist scrawled on a napkin from the Hungry Bear Restaurant at Disneyland.

We also love that this guitar is a “Les Paw” — a play on the iconic Gibson Les Paul guitar.

And, when Big Al goes to sing “Remember Me” from Coco, a new addition to the show, he also teases like he’s going to start singing “Blood on the Saddle,” from the original Country Bear Jamboree!

In case you were worried about Melvin, Buff, and Max, have no fear! They’re still part of the show and hanging out on the wall, where they’ve always been.

- Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah with Trixie singing “Try Everything” from Zootopia
- Romeo McGrowl singing an Elvis-type rendition of “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid

- “A Whole New World” from Aladdin by Teddy Barra and Wendell
- “A Bit of A Fixer Upper” from Frozen by Terrance
- Big Al (tries to) sing “Remember Me” from Coco but also teases like he’s going to start singing “Blood on the Saddle,” from the original show
- “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” from Toy Story sung by Rufus and Sammy
- “The Bear Necessities” from The Jungle Book is the closing song
- “Come Again (Come On In)” is still the exit song sung by Rufus, Sammy, Melvin, Buff, and Max

Do you EVER ANSWER these??? I have been trying to find out the TIMES of the COUNTRY BEAR SHOW. I will be there opening day July 17 as that is my 78th BIRTHDAY. DO YOU HAVE ANU INFORMATION??
Hi Donald. Disney has not given us the showtimes yet. I’m so sorry. Make sure to check the My Disney Experience app on the morning you’re there to find the first showing if you’ll be there for rope drop. If you do not have access to the app you can ask any of the Cast Members under the blue umbrellas and they can help you out. 🙂
