It’s hard to believe that the HUGE EPCOT transformation has almost come to an end.
As a result, so much of EPCOT (especially at the front of the park) looks COMPLETELY different. We even got three new attractions as a result, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. We also got a new addition to World Celebration, Dreamers Point, which features a brand new statue of Walt Disney. However, part of Dreamer’s Point has remained covered…until now!
Today, we were walking by Dreamers Point in World Celebration and noticed that the walls there that had previously been covered are now UNCOVERED. That’s one more construction wall GONE. YAY! This is what it looks like now.
Here’s a close-up of what the walls look like. The design is VERY EPCOT, we think. It also looks like there are some speakers or something embedded into the wall — we see these little breaks in the design and underneath, it LOOKS like it might be speakers?
However, that’s one more thing crossed off the list of the EPCOT transformation. The entire transformation will be complete when CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza open on June 10th.
If you haven’t visited EPCOT since all these changes, you have a lot to look forward to, including a new fountain in front of Spaceship Earth and some impressive new nighttime lighting on Spaceship Earth. We even got a new quick service and Starbucks location with Connections Cafe and Eatery. The Japan pavilion got a new table service restaurant, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. You can also have a meal in space at Space 220, now.
We already mentioned the new attractions, but EPCOT also got a new nighttime show, Luminous: Symphony of Us, which replaced Disney World’s 50th Anniversary show, Harmonious.
Of course, parts of the transformation were scrapped, including a Mary Poppins-themed attraction, as well as the Play Pavilion. Oh, well, guess we can’t have it ALL. If you’d like to see every single thing that’s changed in EPCOT since the transformation began, though, you can click here. We also recently learned that Test Track would soon be getting an update, so we’re looking forward to that, too.
EPCOT certainly looks a little different now, but it’s nice to see the park get a little love and updating. Of course, we’re still holding out for that Spaceship Earth ride update because although we love taking a ride through the history of communication, it’s WOEFULLY outdated.

What do you think of all the EPCOT updates? What’s your favorite? Least favorite? Sound off in the comments!
My favorite addition is Journey of Water, but my least favorite addition is the lack of promises: Spaceship Earth, the new China film and the Play pavilion.
The Moana Journey of Water is a disappointment.
