McDonald's Releases NEW Disney Happy Meal Toys EARLY

We are OBSESSED with McDonald’s Happy Meals. Okay, actually, what we’re really obsessed with are Happy Meal toys. That’s probably because Disney often collaborates with McDonald’s on exclusive Happy Meal toys. Yes, we had a BLAST when we were trying to collect all those 100th Anniversary figures (and we’re still missing some).

Disney also often works with McDonald’s to create Happy Meal toys inspired by upcoming movie releases. However, McDonald’s released some new Happy Meal toys for a Disney movie…that isn’t expected to hit theaters until next year? Say what?!

Last year, two Hollywood entertainment strikes resulted in the delay of quite a few movies, including some on Disney’s slate of upcoming releases. One of those movies was Elio, a Pixar film about a young boy who has problems just getting to school on time but somehow becomes the first human to make contact with aliens. The movie stars Yonas Kibreab as Elio and America Ferrera as Olga Solis, Elio’s mom.

Elio was initially set to release on March 1st, 2024, but ended up getting pushed back by over a year. The new release date is June 13th, 2025. You might think that Disney would delay its promotions associated with the film as well, but at least in some countries, a new Happy Meal with toys from Elio is coming soon.

Here’s a look at the NEW Elio Happy Meal toys. Hey, at least we have a sneak peek of all the new characters we’ll soon get to meet! Is anyone else laughing at the name “Glordon”? Good one, Disney. You’ll find these new Happy Meal toys in Latin American countries like Uruguay, Colombia, and Brazil.

We must admit, we’re a little jealous that these new toys aren’t available in the U.S. We sure would like to add Ambassador Mira to our Happy Meal toy collection — she looks so cute!

In the U.S., some new Multiversus/Warner Bros. Happy Meal toys are on the way soon. Also, remember that in the U.S., McDonald’s will donate one cent for every Happy Meal sold to Ronald McDonald House charities.
