We got up bright and early today to sing Happy Birthday to EPCOT, which just turned 40 years old!
New map!
When we arrived at EPCOT to celebrate properly, we got a special map, dived into some special snacks, and checked out all the fun 40th anniversary merchandise. Speaking of which, we had to wait to see that merchandise because the line was super LONG.
A sign pointed guests to Creations Shop, which is the only shop where you can get the 40th anniversary merchandise right now.
THE place to be
The line was already long when we arrived. It wrapped around the Creations Shop.

Then it went around the middle and went all the way back to The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion!
The merch line is LONG
At the time, a Cast Member suggested that guests would be waiting about two hours to get into the shop.

It seems this will be the case THROUGHOUT the rest of the day.
It’s going to be a while
So bring your patience if you want to get your hands on the 40th anniversary merchandise (or take the opportunity to hit up some rides while everyone else is in line).
LONG line
Some of the items that are available today are dated, so there is a likelihood that once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. However, many of the 40th anniversary merchandise items are also available online, so if you’re looking for something in particular, check shopDisney first!

Do what I did. Order it in Shop Disney !!!!!!!! No way would I wait in line for 6 hours ! Ridiculous !!!
It looks like bob chapek isn’t doing a good job at all when people have to hours to buy Epcot 40 items and looks like he doesn’t employ enough people to handle things n the parks and we r sure the employees work very hard to get things done he is destroying Disney and is allowed to do so and he wants to keep the shareholders and himself with deeper pockets the magic has been destroyed by the greed and he is never going to stop Walt Disneys dream is ruined b cause of this greed driven chapek and all the others involved in this and our whole world is driven by pure greed
