We’ve got some ?groovy? news for those of you planning to stay at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort! From interesting new patents to INCREDIBLE human-like robots, Disney is constantly trying to incorporate new technology into the parks and resorts.

While some of this new tech is still a work in progress, other features are already changing the way guests visit Disney World! If you happen to visit Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, you can see some of this newer technology for yourself.
Ever had groceries or a package delivered to your Disney resort? Well, it’s now easier for guests to retrieve their items thanks to these smart lockers at All-Star Music!
This is such a smart? idea!
There are 45 lockers that range in size from small to large. To access a locker, guests can use the touch-screen and either enter a 5-digit pin or scan a QR code. Don’t forget you can always ask a Cast Member if you need assistance!
Have you ever had a package delivered to your resort?
These colorful lockers were made to store packages or grocery deliveries. Now, instead of waiting for a Cast Member to help you out, you can pick up your items whenever you want.
You can use this touch-screen to access a locker
This might seem like a small change for some, but if you’ve ever had to get packages delivered to your hotel (especially for those last-minute things that you forgot to pack or things you need A.S.A.P.) this can be a really BIG deal.
It’s a super convenient feature that can help you retrieve items at any time. This could especially be helpful if you need to get a package really early in the morning or really late in the day when a large number of Cast Members might not be on staff and able to help.
Lockers
It could also be useful in those situations where you arrive really late at night and your package was delivered to the business center. In those cases, the Cast Members on duty might not be able to retrieve the package from the Business Center if you arrive particularly late at night (we speak from experience here). This could mean you won’t get access to those packages until the next day.
If the things in the packages were not necessities, then it might not be a big deal. But if those packages had the baby formula and diapers you desperately needed, it won’t exactly be an ideal situation. Having the ability to just pick up the package from these lockers at any time can save you a lot of hassle potentially.
So Useful!
These lockers have left us with a few questions though. Will they be coming to all of the Disney World hotels? So far we’ve only seen them at this resort. Could they be coming to all of Disney’s hotels or at least all of the value resorts?
Also, Disney has typically refrigerated products that needed refrigeration from grocery packages that get delivered. In fact, when we checked on the package delivery situation back in 2020, we noted that Disney was still keeping packages refrigerated or frozen (if needed) until a guest can pick them up. Will Disney continue to do this now that these smart lockers have arrived? It’s something we’ll definitely be looking for an update on.
Another Look at the Lockers
Aside from the regular groceries and packages, remember that you can have some pretty COOL things delivered to your hotel like Disney Charcuterie Boards, gift baskets, over-the-top cakes, and more! It will be interesting to see how these items are also handled in situations where the lockers are available.

If you don’t end up having packages sent to you but are in need of some necessities, remember that Disney World hotel gift shops generally have a number of necessities available for purchase, but you’ll likely pay a premium for them!

Do you think Disney might bring back resort guests being able to send purchases from parks back to their hotels and put them in the lockers? I’m hoping!
Hi Debbie! As of right now, Disney hasn’t released that information, but as soon as they do we will be sure to post an update! I always loved sending my merchandise back to the resort so I never had to worry about it in the parks. It was very convenient!
