Halloween Balloons at Disney World
While we all start stocking up on candy, cutting holes in sheets, and peeling grapes for home-made haunted houses, I thought I’d share the “spirit of the season” — Disney Foodie style!

Disney World has been setting the Halloween stage for two months now (remember those pumpkins on Main Street?), and I was so impressed by all of the fun Disney Halloween snacks and kitchen items at the World — I couldn’t wait until October 31st to share them with you!

Halloween foods like candy corn, brown and orange striped chocolate-covered pretzels, crisped rice treats shaped like candy corn and pumpkins, Mickey Jack-o-lantern and Jack Skellington candy apples, and more can be found spread throughout Disney gift shops and especially in Disney candy stores and bakeries!

The Main Street Confectionery even had a special fudge flavor for the season — Reese’s Pieces! Doesn’t it look so sweet your teeth start to hurt?!

And Minnie’s orange-and-purple witch hat was a big theme this year. I thought these little candy-filled Minnie ear hats were adorable. Perfect for halloween party favors. We also received Minnie witch hats on our “Celebration” cupcakes at Chef Mickey’s (notice the little eyes peeking out from under the hat on the cupcake)!

Halloween kitchen items and accessories were all over the place! I thought this was a great display in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

You can even get the apron embroidered!

I also thought the paper products throughout the Resort were a great touch. Mickey looks so excited to be jumping into that pile of leaves on the haunted house-themed cup!

Happy Halloween!
For those of you heading to Disney World in time to celebrate Halloween, have a blast, be safe, and Bon Appetit! For those of you who get to wait another year to see Halloween at Disney World, I hope this has been a fun little foodie tour of how the parks celebrate this spookiest of seasons…
I wish they had more Pumpkin flavored goodies.
You know, they might have had pumpkin cookies — I surely didn’t see everything ๐
I’ve been craving some pumpkin-flavored sweets myself, this year. I wonder if http://www.cookiemadness.net has any good ideas…
I tried these pumpkin cookies last week, and they’re delicous! I skipped the maple frosting, though: http://www.bakerella.com/pumpkin-pecan-chocolate-chunk-cookies-with-maple-brown-butter-frosting/
Allison, those look awesome! I think I’ll try them minus the pecans. Anything with brown butter frosting is on my list this fall!
OMG, I want a cupcake so bad now! The crisped rice Mickey Heads look pretty good too. And wow–those candy apples are works of ART. I really must stop reading this blog….too much temptation….LOL.
Could somebody please explain the appeal of candy corn to me? I find the stuff revolting.
Ha! I love one or two pieces of candy corn, but after that I start getting sick. I really need to work on my sugar-tolerance-level ๐
I could eat bags of candy corn pumpkins! I really overload myself with them during October. I am not really a candy pumpkin gal, but that Mickey apple looks so cool man. I am also officially now craving a Mickey rice crispy.
This is the Pumpkin cookie recipe that I use: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Soft-Pumpkin-Cookies/Detail.aspx
Except I use dark chocolate chips instead of walnuts!! And there’s a custard place here, Abott’s that makes a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip flavor that is OUT OF THIS WORLD good!!!
Omg. You soo have to do one for the MVMMCP and Christmas themed. Im going in early dec and I cant wait!!
@Jackey — I’m craving one, too!
@Emily — Ha ha! You’re so lucky to be going during the holiday-time at Disney World — I love it there during that season!
This might be picky, but those are caramel apples, not candy apples. Trust me, I probably dipped them!
Oh, and Kelly, there’s pumpkin fudge at the Confectionery ๐
Ha! Thanks for the correction, Emma! I trust you 100%…thanks for reading!
Rats! I just got a temporary crown, so I won’t be able to eat any candied apples next week. And they look soooo good! Grrrrr…..
Poor you, kathy! ๐ Have fun otherwise…you can still eat the Butterfinger Cupcake!
Wow… everything looks soooo goood, I will have to make my next trip to Disney World around Halloween!
