The situation with eating and drinking in Disney World has been kind of complex.
Until today, Southern California has been under a stay-at-home order for more than a month. During the order, all on-location dining was prohibited in Downtown Disney. Now, the stay-at-home order has been lifted, so we’re checking in on the current dining policy at Disneyland Resort.
When we got to Downtown Disney today we noticed that the signage prohibiting eating and drinking was still posted. So, can you eat in Disneyland again or not?
We got to asking around and heard from Cast Members at Marceline’s Confectionery and a manager in World of Disney that stationary and socially-distanced eating and drinking is allowed once again.
At first, we thought it was confusing that the signs were still posted but a little later we noticed a Cast Member carting away several of the “No Eating and Drinking” signs.
We spoke to a few Guest Relations managers who clarified that eating and drinking are allowed once more and they’ve returned to the rules they used prior to the stay-at-home order. Guests must be stationary and off to the side to eat and drink. As of right now, most dining locations that were closed during the stay-at-home order have remained closed.
We’ll be keeping you updated on the situation in Downtown Disney so stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!

The Disneyland Beat told me that the stay-at-home order in California has been lifted, but I’m not sure if that means that Disneyland will open up again anytime soon ?. I’m hoping that it’ll open up again either this summer or this spring and that, at the same time Disneyland opens up again, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Royal Hall will be available, because I know someone who has two daughters and they look like they would make excellent Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique customers and the kind of girls who would like to get a hug ? from Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella in the Royal Hall ????☺️?????❤️????❤️☺️????????????❤️??.
The lifting of the stay at home order does not go into affect until Friday, January 29. Unknown at this time if patrons can dine inside the restaurants or it is only outside dining. Not even sure what restaurants are open or will be open. I would check the Disneyland website on the 29th.
We just left DTD, had a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich and ice cream at Salt and Straw on the property. ??
