Okay, Disney, we see you!
We stopped dead in our tracks when we came across this new sign for the new land coming to Animal Kingdom at Disney World, and now you need to see it, too.
In between our periods of crying about DinoLand being demolished, we were walking through DinoLand U.S.A. to try to remember when life was good, and BAM, a new Tropical Americas sign was right in our faces.
Look! Disney just quietly revealed something new. We have our first official LOGO! The font gives us the same vibes as the Encanto movie, and the construction walls are covered with yellow butterflies from the movie.
There are adorable construction signs with nods to Antonio…
…and Indiana Jones!
Over the wall, we can see that Disney is already hard at work tearing down TriceraTop Spin and the Fossil Fun Games, and we’re gently reminding ourselves not to “be upset or mad at all.”
Even Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures are losing all their fun characteristics to make way for Mirabel and her family.
We’re keeping our eye on DINOSAUR and the Boneyard, which will stay open all of 2025, but it’s strange to see them without the rest of DinoLand.
Despite our tears over losing DinoLand, we are thrilled to welcome Indiana Jones and Encanto to our Animal Kingdom park day. We can’t wait for Pueblo Esperanza to arrive!
We’ll get to visit the Madrigal’s Casita…

A new attraction themed after the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Encanto” follows Antonio the day after he received his magical gift – the ability to communicate with animals and is situated in the new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
…and join Indiana Jones on a daring adventure that will be different than Disneyland (no copycats over here!).

The new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom lets guests explore a preserved Maya temple – and the ensuing adventure – alongside Indiana Jones.

Are you excited about this new land coming to Animal Kingdom? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
Pueblo Esperanza is an exciting development, as someone who hasn’t experienced DinoLand. Hopefully, there are a couple of actual animal exhibits in the land. A butterfly garden or habitat and/or an aviary would be great nods to Encanto. A reptile house with a focus on snakes would be a nice reference to Indiana Jones.
Are you aware if Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom will have any animal exhibits in it, or just inanimate attractions?
It would be great if they would put in a river boat safari ride and a walkthrough trail of animal exhibits. Probably too much to ask, but we can hope.
I, too, hope there will be animals in this new Animal Kingdom land! And I love water rides. Hope the Indy ride will not be too much in the dark making it difficult to actually see anything or too jerky or rough for those with motion sickness! Now if I could only find a ladies cut scoop or v-neck tee that had the same saying: Snakes! Why’d it have to be snakes!!! ?
