Something HUGE is about to begin in Disneyland.
The resort will soon be celebrating its 70th Anniversary! Of course, that means that Disney is going ALL out with celebratory entertainment, food, experiences, and more. Even some attractions are getting in on the celebration. Well, one of the BIGGEST announcements Disney made about its plan for the big party is the return of the nighttime parade, Paint the Night. Now, Disney has revealed some details about dining packages for that parade, as well as some new dining experiences coming to Disneyland.
You’ll soon be able to book a Paint the Night Dining Package at Plaza Inn for a multi-course meal that comes with reserved viewing of the Paint the Night Parade. Those who book a dining package can pick up their meal between 1 PM and 4 PM and sit at any table to enjoy it at Plaza Inn. This dining package also offers a kids’ meal option. Reservations for the Paint the Night Dining Package will open on March 25th.
But that’s not all. For the first time EVER, Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be hosting a character dinner dining experience, Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet. You’ll be able to join Donald, Daisy, and some of their friends for barbecue-style food and “comforting desserts.” Note that Mickey’s Tales of Adventure will continue for breakfast and brunch. Reservations for the character dinner experience open on March 25th. Dinner will be $62 per adult and $36 per child (ages 3 to 9).
Finally, if you’re visiting Disneyland during Season of the Force, a special fireworks dining package is available. The Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering will offer food, drinks, and special takeaway items, along with reserved viewing of the “Fire of the Rising Moons” fireworks show in Star Sars: Galaxy’s Edge. Reservations for this experience open on April 3rd.

Will you be visiting Disneyland this year? Let us know in the comments!
Yes! My daughter and I will be taking a girl’s trip in early November 2025 to Disneyland. We are DVC owners at SSR and HHR hoping to get a DVC reservation in CA
Yes, I am visiting Disneyland for the 70th Anniversary, but I feel betrayed. It was first announced that the Anniversary Celebrations were starting on May 16th so I made my reservations immediately for May 18th. I did not want to miss my opportunity. Then later on it was annonced that “Walt Disney-A Magical Life” was postponed to July 17th. Of course, that is one of the most important events of the celebration for me. I am 75 years old, and I went with my family to the opening year of Disneyland in 1955 when I was just 5. I watched Walt the rest of his life on TV. I am very upset by this, and Disney will not do anything to make it right for me.
I’m coming to Grand Californian with 3 friends in June, counting on cooler weather than Las Vegas, NV. I’ll be the guide because I drive over 1-2 times a year. We will have hopper passes and I’ll have each person pick a ride they can’t miss and a couple they’d love to go on–preplanning!
