We’re hanging out in Disney California Adventure for a BIG festival!
Yep, the 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially begun at Disneyland Resort, and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 21st, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Now, there are a ton of food booths to check out, but some of California Adventure’s regular locations have special festival menu items, too, so we’re checking them out!
Churros Near Goofy’s Sky School
A brand-new churro is available at this churro cart, the Mango Sticky Rice-inspired Churro, a classic churro rolled in sugar with sticky rice and mango pieces for $7.50. This churro had a fresh, vibrant, and sweet mango flavor. However, we couldn’t really differentiate the sticky rice in bites that were heavy in the mango, but those bites we did get had a sweet and nutty flavor.
The only downside is that this churro gets a bit soggy from all the toppings. But overall, this is a delicious new addition to the festival.
Terran Treats
Another new churro is available in Avengers Campus. The Crème Brûlée Churro is made with pastry cream, strawberry coulis, and crushed brûléed sugar for $7.25. The churro is good, as always , but the crushed brûléed sugar gives it an additional nice sweetness (but it’s not overdone). The pastry cream is creamy and sweet and the strawberry flavor just brings it all together.
We will say that we’re not getting a strong crème brûlée flavor, but it’s still a super tasty dessert.
Churros at Hollywood Land
Well, that’s 2/2 on the delicious churros list. Can we get a three-peat? We’re going to try with the Peach Tea Churro, which is a classic churro rolled in peach sugar with diced peaches and peach tea sauce for $7.50. Well, we just hope you love peaches because there is a LOT of peaches on this baby. The churro is sweet, but we didn’t think it was cloying. We were disappointed that there’s no coating on the churro, though.
The peach sauce has a similar consistency to apple sauce — we didn’t HATE it, but we also didn’t love it. The real saving grace of this churro are the actual chilled peach slices, which makes this a refreshing snack. However, this churro just didn’t stand out for us, but it’s a safe pick.
Schmoozies!
Over at Schmoozies!, you can get the Study Break Brewery Lychee + White Tea for $17. We weren’t expecting much of this because lychee is an acquired flavor, but the main flavors are sweet and floral with a light melon taste. The seltzer wasn’t too bubbly, but it did go flat after about 10 minutes.
If you love the flavors of lychee and tea, this could be a winner.
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta
We had to try the Smoked Hawaiian Pizza made with Spicy Marinara, Smoked Mozzarella, Glazed Ham, and Charred Pineapple for $9.49 per slice. This is one of the best pizzas we’ve had here! The spiciness is low, so you don’t have to worry about it if you’re spice-averse. The mozzarella didn’t really taste smoked, though. The best part? The glazed ham…it was sweet and salty and perfect. The charred pineapple — because YES, PINEAPPLE DOES BELONG ON PIZZA — was sweet, tart, and juicy. We loved this.
We also picked up dessert here, the Pineapple and Coconut Cheesecake, which is a Coconut Cheesecake topped with Pineapple Jam, Pineapple DOLE Whip Mousse, and a Maraschino Cherry for $6.79. This one is a winner, too. It’s light and refreshing, and the whipped texture on the cheesecake was wonderful. The pineapple jam had a thick gelatinous texture with pieces of pineapple mixed in.
The sweet coconut balanced out the tartness of the pineapple, too. This one was just a wonderful combo of flavors, but we often order our Pineapple DOLE Whip with Coconut Swirl, so there’s no big surprise there. This is like that but with a cheesecake.
Corn Dog Castle
Finally, we headed over to Corn Dog Castle to try the new SoCal Corn Dog rolled in fries and topped with tomato and pickle relish, American cheese, and house dressing for $10.79 without sides and $13.59 with sides. There is a LOT going on with this, but you know what? We love it! The breading is thick and it had a great crunch. The cheese was beautifully melted and blended well with the other flavors.
What really surprised us is that the hot dog is still the star of the show here. This tasted like a hot dog with all the works. We’d say this one is a winner, although we might argue it’s a little overpriced.
Willie’s Churros
You thought we were done with churros? NOPE! Think again. This time, we’re stopping by Willie’s Churros for the Strawberry-Caramel Churro with whipped topping, strawberries, and caramel for $7.50. UGH — this was so great. When you combine classic sweets, like strawberries, caramel, and sweet pastry, you just KNOW it’s going to be amazing. We are happy to report that all the sweet flavors really complemented each other.

Strawberry-Caramel Churro
The strawberries were fresh and paired well with the light vanilla flavor of the whipped cream. The caramel drizzle on top added a rich and luxurious flavor that went so well with the strawberries. Overall, the caramel is the strongest flavor in this treat, though. We loved this one, and if you’re looking for a churro that won’t let you down, this is a real winner.
Studio Catering Co.
Are you ready for a burrito unlike any other burrito you’ve seen before? Then check out the Thai-inspired Burrito for $13.99! This is made with chicken satay, pad Thai noodles, peanut sauce, pineapple fried rice, and chile crisp and is a new addition to the festival.
First of all, this was a fantastic size for the price! It’s completely stuffed to capacity and each ingredient is proportional. At first, we were worried it could be dry without a dipping sauce, but we didn’t have an issue with that at all! The pineapple in the rice adds a hint of sweetness and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Really, we don’t know how they stuffed this all into a tortilla and made it work, but they did!
We also snagged another new menu item here — say hello to the Salsa Verde Chicharrón Tacos! Made with pork belly chicharrón tossed in warm salsa verde and topped with salsa macha and pickled onions, you can grab this for $11.99. It also qualifies as a Sip and Savor credit, but by using that, you’ll only get one taco instead of two.
The flavor is the standout here! The salsa verde has quite the kick, so if you are spice-adverse, beware. The downfall of these tacos? The texture of the pork belly. It was very tough and hard to bite into!
Unfortunately, this is what we remember the most when walking away from this spot, which is a shame because the flavor is amazing. Hopefully, we just got a bad batch of pork belly — it might be worth a try on your visit!
Aunt Cass Cafe
In San Fransokyo, Burrata Toast is the festival item here made with toasted sourdough, onion jam, burrata, tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic glaze for $8.49.
After one bite, our reporter said they were HOOKED. It’s refreshing with the veggies and the creamy burrata. The toast is made with the famous Boudin Sourdough bread so you already know it’s going to be incredible.
We only had one issue that deducted some points in our book — the onion jam. As we kept eating, it totally overpowered the rest of the flavors on the toast. Next time we’d ask for this dish without it, then it would be perfect!
Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream
Clarabelle is serving up some delicious dessert for the festival and we’re here for it! Check out the Strawberry Shortcake which will set you back $7.99. It includes angel food cake, vanilla ice cream, strawberry syrup, whipped topping, and fresh strawberries. What’s not to love?
We would definitely get this again! It’s another light and refreshing menu item. The cake was moist and fluffy, which was a nice surprise since we’d eaten some DRY angel food cake at other spots in the past. The strawberry syrup was tart and sweet, but not too much so. Once you add the ice cream to your bite, you’re golden!
