We’re only a few months away from the grand opening of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, and we can’t wait.
Now, of course, we’re excited about the five new lands the new theme park will bring to Universal, but more importantly, we’re REALLY excited about all the new food the new park will have. Now, Universal has already dropped some of the menu items we’ll find throughout the park, but now, we’ve got a first look at one of those restaurants. So let’s take a peek inside Atlantic Restaurant in Epic Universe’s Celestial Park.
Atlantic Restaurant will be a full-service restaurant inside a Victorian aquarium showcasing gorgeous views of Celestial Park. Universal calls it an “undersea culinary fantasy,” where “starfish dwell peacefully with serene, illuminated fish swimming above you.”
Well, Universal just revealed some of those fish that will be swimming above you in a first look INSIDE the restaurant. When you’re dining at Atlantic, you’ll want to look up to see the gorgeous Victorian-inspired fish that will be “swimming” above you. This detail is giving us some real steampunk vibes.
These beautiful fish are made from a combination of resin and acrylic, as well as a custom palette layout that gives each fish a distinctive scale design. You’ll find 36 of these illuminated fish lanterns swimming above you in the restaurant.
For a better look at this unique restaurant detail, be sure to watch the video Universal Creative posted below.
The Atlantic menu will feature “surf and turf” type items. Universal recently shared a peek at a few items on the menu at Atlantic:
- Sea Bass (Atlantic) – a delectable portion of Sea Bass nestled amid the subtle sweetness of carrot mochi and vibrant crunch of fresh sugar snap peas. Aromatic lemongrass broth complements the buttery bass, while starfruit slices add a splash of tropical citrus notes
- Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot (Atlantic) – a fun beach-style dessert perfect for young explorers featuring a snickerdoodle cake served in a beach pail with cookie butter ganache, surrounded by Biscoff sand and gummy sharks
- Passion Fruit “Caviar” (Atlantic) – chocolate hazelnut dessert topped with passion fruit-flavored pearls.
- Grand Atlantic Martini (Atlantic) – a tantalizing cocktail with dry gin, aperitif wine, and a gilded lemon twist for garnish
- Northern Lights (Atlantic) – Beluga Noble Vodka, Pallini limoncello, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, lemon juice, and simple syrup
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details about Epic Universe and its restaurants, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
