Can you believe the grand opening of Universal Orlando’s third theme park is only a few months away now?
Epic Universe will open its doors for the first time on May 22nd, and we can’t wait to explore its five new lands. We’ll be able to explore the universe in Celestial Park, engage with dragons in How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, play games in Super Nintendo World, and tap into our darkest wishes in Dark Universe. However, Harry Potter fans are anxiously anticipating The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, and we now have some new details about the interactive wands and experiences coming to that park.
Universal recently revealed that a whole NEW collection of interactive wands will be coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic in Epic Universe. You’ll find them in the shop owned by artisan wandmaker Cosmie Acajor, who believes that a wizard should have some say in the matter of choosing a wand (unlike Garric Ollivander, who thinks the wand chooses the wizard). According to Universal, “her unique approach to wandlore and Parisian couture influence come together to create not only a fine wand, but a work of art.”
You’ll find these new interactive wands at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique in Place Cachée in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic when Epic Universe opens.
These wands can be used for new wand experiences throughout the land that will help you “sharpen your spell-casting spells.” You’ll be able to interact with fantastic beasts and enchanted objects throughout the wizarding world of 1920s Paris.
Stay tuned to DFB for more.
What do you think of these new wands? Let us know in the comments!
Will the current interactive wands work in all of the HP lands, or will we have to buy a new one?
Hi Denise! I know you can use the interactive wands from Universal Orlando at Universal Hollywood so I am assuming you would be able to use them at Epic Universe, they’re just offering several more designs to choose from. 🙂
These are beautiful! Do we know if they will be 1st gen or 2nd?
