We’ve got some bad news, friends.
We’re always doing our best to bring you the latest Disney tips and tricks, and some of those include some shortcuts that Disney may noooot want you to know. We don’t encourage breaking rules, but if you haven’t wanted to pay for your PhotoPass photos, you have been able to screenshot them in the app, as long as you don’t mind the logo across the photo. However, we’re sorry to say that this has now CHANGED!
The My Disney Experience App has changed, and now, you are unable to screenshot any of your PhotoPass photos. Instead of seeing your photo, you’ll be met with a white screen.
The same thing happens if you attempt a screen recording –– there’s now no way to get your photos from the app without someone else taking a photo OF the photo over your shoulder, or purchasing the photo/purchasing PhotoPass.
This is an unfortunate change that we know will upset many Disney fans, but alas, at this time, there’s no way around it. From our research, this is the case for both the Disneyland and the My Disney Experience app.
