Stepping onto the plane to start your Disney vacation can be just as exciting as stepping into the park itself!
If you’re someone who flies to Disney World or Disneyland, you likely know the feeling. But, what if we told you it’s possible for that flight to be even more exciting — because it could be Disney-themed! The latest unveiling from Alaska Airlines has us wanting to book a flight STAT.
Alaska Airlines has unveiled its latest Disney-themed airplane, the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer! In collaboration with Disneyland Resort, the plane was revealed at Portland International Airport before it took its first flight to Santa Ana, California.
Inspired by The Princess and the Frog, the design captures Princess Tiana’s adventurous spirit and the latest chapter in her story — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Boeing 737-800 features a stunning exterior that showcases Princess Tiana and her inspiring story.
The design took artists more than 2,000 hours to paint, with touches including Louis the Alligator splashing on the bayou, a trail of fireflies, plus Mama Odie and Prince Naveen on the winglets.
Onboard the plane, kiddos can enjoy a new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure snack pack available for purchase this summer.
“Every journey should be as magical as the destination, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer brings that wonder to the skies in a way that perfectly complements our commitment to creating remarkable journeys. This aircraft captures Princess Tiana’s love for exploration and adventure, inspiring our guests to embrace new possibilities and create memories along the way.”
This design marks Alaska Airlines’ ninth Disneyland Resort-themed aircraft—and its first to feature a Disney Princess. Guests will be able to fly aboard Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer (tail number N596AS), throughout Alaska’s route network for the next several years, making every journey an enchanting experience where every adventure will take flight.

Would you fly on this Tiana’s Bayou Adventure airplane? Tell us in the comments.
I would love to fly on a Disney-decorated plane! I bet the theming (not even the colors) does not carry over to the interior, but it would still be pretty cool. I can’t imagine what it costs to fly from Alaska to Orlando. I’m sure you deserve some extra magic for that price sticker!
OOPS – looks like it only flies to California. Still – lucky for them!
Guest head count at the attraction must be down. General sentiment is that guests are not bowled over on the recent changes from Splash Mountain to Tiana’s theme, I have to agree with the general feeling, not as fun as it once was..
I can’t believe an airplane would theme to a ride known for constantly breaking down!
