Planning a wedding is one of the most fun (yet stressful) periods in life (take it from a writer with experience), as planning out every last detail can be a painstaking process. This is why Disney Vacation Club Members looking to get married (or couples looking to renew their vows) should circle May 3rd on their calendar!

Wedding Pavilion
On May 3rd, Disney is hosting a special DVC members-only open house at the Disney World Wedding Pavilion (near the Grand Floridian Resort) for those interested in learning more or considering a wedding or vow renewal with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings from 7 PM to 9 PM. This is your chance, people!
According to Disney, this is a limited capacity event that will allow you to connect with Disney Wedding Consultants and explore the variety of Disney Weddings offerings at Disney World. Think of this as your chance to ask specific questions, source information, and take the next steps in planning your Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding. Disney will also offer special things only Members can experience at this exclusive Open House, including a special portrait with Cinderella’s Coach, unique entertainment, and a firework dessert party!
Pre-registration is required to attend the event. DVC members may bring up to four 18+ guests with them. Spaces are limited, so Disney recommends signing up soon.
Don’t fret if you’re not a DVC member, however, as there are also open house offerings for non-DVC members on the following dates:
- March 30th, 2025 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- April 19th, 2025 – 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- April 26th, 2025 – 9:00 AM to 1:00P M

I have been to Cake Bake for their afternoon tea. I was a big fan of the Garden View tea at the GF, but since that is no longer an option, this is the only tea on property. It was pricey ($95 p.p), and more than the Garden View tea. It was the same price as tea in downtown Chicago at the London House. There was a lot more food at Cake Bake than at the GF. The scones at Cake Bake were the best I have ever eaten; Very buttery, and a very big scone! I took half the food with me as leftovers. The service was impeccable, and it was a very nice experience. It is not for everyone, but I will be back!
