Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the most beloved Disney classic rides.
Now, it’s no secret that if you’ve been on Pirates of the Caribbean in both Disney World and Disneyland, you’ll understand that there are some differences. Most would even argue that the Disneyland version of the ride is far superior. Well, this ride does tend to be very popular in Disneyland, but if you’re planning on skipping the standby line this weekend for the Lightning Lane, we’ve got some bad news for you. Pirates of the Caribbean is not being offered on Lightning Lane Multi Pass right now.
That’s right. The only way to ride Pirates of the Caribbean is by using the standby line. The ride is not being offered through Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a limited time. Now, this change seems to be temporary, as the ride is set to return as a Lighting Lane Multi Pass option on Tuesday, April 15th.
Lines for this ride can get long, but there’s no way to bypass them today. Disney did not state why this ride has been temporarily removed from Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but as we said, it does seem to be temporary. If you want to ride it without a long wait, you’ll want to consider rope-dropping the ride. You can also keep an eye on the ride’s wait time on the Disneyland app and try to book it over to the ride once the wait time drops.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more ride changes in Disneyland and Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

What do you think? Does Pirates of the Caribbean need a Lightning Lane in Disneyland? Let us know in the comments!
In my opinion this ride doesn’t really need LL. The fast loading process combined with large capacity ride vehicles allows for a fairly fast moving line. LL causes the standby line to back up significantly. Just my opinion.
