There is so much happening in Disney World right now!
Hollywood Studios!
While there’s some heartbreaking moments like saying goodbye to DinoLand, there are some pretty exciting and villainous things happening too. The Disney Villains are working their way into Magic Kingdom, but while they work on that takeover, they’re hoping for a little sympathy over in Hollywood Studios.
If you’re headed into the movies soon, you might spot some familiar faces! The brand-new show Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is coming to Hollywood Studios on May 27th, 2025, and Disney has officially confirmed the Big Three you’ll see in the show.

Over on the Disney World Annual Passholders Instagram, Disney posted 3 photos featuring those main baddies, starting with the queen of green, Maleficent!

After Maleficent, we spotted the puppy snatcher herself, Cruella De Vil!

To round off the list, Captain Hook joins the two ladies in competing to see who was treated the most unfairly within their story.

Now, in all honesty, we’ve known that Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella De Vil would be the leads for this show thanks to the concept art and online casting announcement, but this is the first official confirmation from Disney, technically.

This show will follow these three villains, along with appearances from other villains throughout the theater, as they try to convince the crowd that they got the shaft in their story. They will each present their case on why they were treated so unfairly, and in the end, the audience will decide who had it the worst.

This show is replacing Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy on Sunset Boulevard, next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which is also expecting a big change in the future!

Also on May 27th, a second brand-new show is opening called The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure! This is really more of an updated version of The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which closed in 2020, but with updated show scenes and songs that weren’t featured in the previous version.
