We are in the middle of EPCOT’s beautiful Flower and Garden Festival, and they have some amazing things to look at!

Moana and Maui
There are so many decorations to view that it’s easy to get lost in the beauty of it all. Because of this, you may not have noticed this subtle and SWEET new addition at the Germany Pavilion in World Showcase!
World Showcase is home to 11 country pavilions — Italy, America, and Mexico to name a few. The Germany Pavilion is a fan-favorite spot for its pretty decor and, of course, its sweet treats. If you’re a caramel lover, you’ve definitely been to Karamell-Küche, which is home to all sorts of caramel treats like popcorn, candy apples, and more. Honestly, caramel lover or not, the smell is enough to draw people in!

Karamell- Kuche
Well, if you go in now, you’ll see that Disney Imagineers quietly threw in a special treat for National Caramel Day! Many Cast Members working at the World Showcase are from the respective countries they are working at (which is really cool), and the German Cast Members at the Germany Pavilion wanted a way to share where they’re from with guests. So Disney Imagineers created a map for the caramel shop, giving Cast Members the ability to interact with guests and share their stories from their home.

Imagineers did what they do best: bringing dreams to life! They used a big printer to print out the map, and of course went the extra mile. Adding a gold foil detailing to the final print made the map look truly amazing!

Once you get a close look at the map, you’ll see all the remarkable detail the Imagineers added to it. They drew inspiration from the Baroque style of the bakery building. This was more than just simply putting up a map, as it took set decoration, art decoration, and graphic design! They all had to come together to design and frame it, all while staying true to the Germany Pavilion. They even added a small Werther’s confectionary to the map — it just made sense!

That’s not all that has come to the Germany Pavilion for National Caramel Day. What really is National Caramel Day without caramel treats, right?! There are now new caramel treats at both Karamell-Küche at the Germany Pavilion and Goofy’s Candy Company located at Disney Springs.

Love the map idea. They should do that in all the Epcot countries for the cast members to point out where they are from.
A nice touch by wdw. I agree….more countries should do the map! Love caramel though my teeth do not ☺ ….. I always find a xmas ornament in Germany. Love Epcot. Remember when they set up a huge tent and brought in so many countries for the Millennium? Wish they would permanently do that. So many other countries I would love to see: India, Greece, Peru or Ecuador, Belize or Costa Rica, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Vietnam, Iceland (no politics please)…..Wish any new hotels would be more themed to places I’ll never travel such as India, Greece, Ireland, Nordic countries…..
How about Egypt? Thailand? Singapore (POTC)?
