Who’s ready to set sail with Disney Cruise Line on Disney’s NEWEST ship, the Disney Destiny?
The Disney Destiny will take its maiden voyage on November 20th with 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean during its inaugural season. Disney has revealed that the ship will be themed to heroes and villains, which means you’re bound to meet a lot of characters onboard the ship. Well, now we have confirmation of at least nine characters you’ll run into on the Disney Destiny.
Disney recently posted an audition notice for character performers and character lookalikes for the Disney Destiny and named 16 characters (although there will be much more) in the posting. Characters mentioned in the notice include Cruella, Maleficent, Belle, Mirabel, Moana, Mulan, Princess Tiana, Rapunzel, Rey, Dr. Facilier, Loki, Black Panther, Bruno, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Spider-Man. Of course, there will be even more, but WOW.
It seems like Disney is going all in on the heroes and villains theme with the characters you’ll get to see on the ship. The ship’s stern will feature Spider-Man, while the Grand Hall will be inspired by Marvel’s Wakanda and will have a statue of Black Panther.
There will also be a Lion King-themed dining experience, as well as the Worlds of Marvel dining adventure we’ve previously seen on the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. You’ll also get to enjoy drinks in lounges devoted to Cruella De Vil and Doctor Strange.
Bookings are open now, so if you want to live your best hero, villain, or both life, book that cruise ASAP. And stay tuned to DFB for more.

I would love to meet Jack Sparrow at sea – what an adventure! But the Jack Sparrow meet and greets in MK are good too. It would be wild to meet Loki and Dr. Facilier even once! I hope Stitch is part of the “and more.” Stitch meet and greets have been available on most if not all of our cruises, and we’d hate to miss him if we sailed on the Destiny.
Naturaldisastergirl,
I met Captain Jack at Disney World a couple of years ago. He was so awesome. I had my Captain Jack ears (they are no longer made) and he loved them. We had a great conversation and he acted just like in the movies.
Booked on the 5 night Bahamian Cruise on December 5th. First Disney cruise and it will be my birthday onboard so very excited. Having 5 nights in Orlando at Pop Century first then a night at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale Harbour Resort and Spa pre cruise. Post cruise we fly from Miami home to London.
