Okay, Star Wars fans, Season of the Force has officially kicked off in Disneyland.
Now, this is an exciting time to visit Disneyland if you love everything from a galaxy far, far away, and this year’s celebration is HUGE. First, Luke Skywalker himself showed up in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to meet visitors. Then there are some amazing entertainment options, including an out-of-this-world fireworks show that happens on select nights. But most importantly, this is when we get all kinds of fun spacey food to try — and TRY WE MUST. So this year, we nommed down on five Star Wars-themed snacks, and we’re here with ALL the details.
Season of the Force runs through May 11th, so if you’re visiting Disneyland before then, you’ll have a chance to try all these snacks out for yourself.
So we started at the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland with the Galactic Gyro Burger, which has Angus Beef & Vegetable Patty, Havarti Cheese Slice, Feta Tzatziki Sauce, Cucumber, Tomato, and Red Onion served on a Toasted Ciabatta Bun, with a choice of Cuties Mandarin Orange or French Fries for $16.49. First, the bad…the bun on this MASSIVE thing was a little harder than we expected. It’s not toasted, so we think we got a stale bun. Strike 1.
The meat is a mixture of beef and vegetables, so it had an off texture for us. The Tzatziki sauce, though, was delicious, and if we could’ve just ordered a cup of that, we would’ve been FINE. However, we had such high hopes for this burger and it didn’t deliver.
However, we fared better with the Loaded Outpost Fries, made with Crinkle-cut Fries and Onion Rings and topped with BBQ Pulled Pork, Cheddar & Monterey Jack Blend, Pickled Red Onions, Roasted Corn, Sour Cream Drizzle, and Green Onions for $13.49. So yes, it looks good, but also, yes, it tastes good! The pulled pork is so juicy and flavorful and the fries and onion rings offer the PERFECT amount of crunch.
The BBQ sauce and pickled onions also add a nice depth of flavor. Also, you get A LOT, so this is more of a meal than a snack. Who knew space fries could be SO TASTY?
A new dessert has also entered the chat at Galactic Grill. The Pistachio-Cherry Parfait is made with Layers of Pistachio Mousse, Red Velvet Cake, Cherry Pie Filling, Chocolate Pearls, and Chocolate Popping Spheres for $7.29. A word of warning: it’s very green, and it will dye everything it touches green, including your face. It also has a VERY tart cherry flavor.
We will say that the red velvet cake is moist, but it has way too much mousse. We think more cake and less mousse would have made this a much better dessert. But if you like cherry, this one is for you. Oddly enough, though, we didn’t get much of a pistachio flavor — it tasted like basic vanilla. So this dessert was a good concept, but it ultimately failed for us.
Then we headed on over to Ronto Roasters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to try some new snacks there. Okay, we’ll admit that we were already in love with the Fried Falumpaset Cheese Skewer with crispy potato and mustard-cheese dipping sauce for $8.49 because it’s cheesy potatoes on a stick — what’s not to love? ?
We’re happy to report that it’s as good as it sounds, and our only complaint is that we wish it were DOUBLE the size because we wanted more. It’s super crispy, and the potatoes have a great flavor. It’s tangy and cheesy, and when you get it, it’s served hot! It also pairs so well with that mustard cheese dipping sauce. This is one snack we’ll keep coming back for, and we’re going to be sad when it leaves at the end of Season of the Force.
Finally, we got a drink to wash all that food down. The Keshian Spiced Milk Tea is Milk Tea, Horchata Jelly, and Caramel Sugar Crisp for $7.29. Okay, so we were SURPRISED when we took that first sip. It’s very sweet, for starters, but in a good way. It tasted a lot like a horchata, but with Christmas flavors (must be the spices?). The horchata jelly offers a fun texture difference, too. Plus, the caramel sugar crisps were buttery, crisp, and sweet.
This is a very refreshing drink, and if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love it. Let’s just say if, for some reason, we couldn’t get our beloved Cold Brew Black Caf, this would be our #1 alternative. So it’s UP there on our Disney World beverages list.

I’ve been buying those cheesy potato corn dog things at Costco for a few years! You should look for it there, I believe it’s around $10 for 8 of them.
Is there any allergy information available for these items?
I’ve looked on Disney but can’t find anything yet.
