Disney World has so many dining options that it can get overwhelming to figure out which spot will work for your family. Here at Disney Food Blog, we try just about everything across Disney property so we can spill all the insider details.
We went to Liberty Square Market in Magic Kingdom to try some classic snacks to see if it’s worth a stop on your next park day.
Atmosphere
Liberty Square Market is in Liberty Square between Columbia Harbour House and Hall of Presidents and sticks true to the 1776 Colonial America aesthetic.
It has all-outdoor seating with lots of benches, tables, and umbrellas, making it a great space for larger groups trying to find seats for everyone. However, this space can get hot during peak lunchtime, so you might want to grab your meal and sit inside Columbia Harbour House or try to find a more shaded area by the Tangled bathrooms.
For this market spot, you order right at the counter and wait for your meal to be ready. Since everything is premade, it usually comes out fast! We barely had time to pick out our spot by the time they handed us our trays.
When we went, the Festival of Fantasy parade was happening, so we got to watch parts of it. While the main dining area faces away from the parade route, you can watch it while waiting to order.
Enough about the space — let’s get into the menu!
Menu
Liberty Square Market’s menu offers limited options but some classic Disney snacks, such as hot dogs, turkey legs, Mickey pretzels, and slushies.
They have large coolers filled with ice for you to grab bottles of drinks like apple juice, water, Coke, and iced tea. They also have some on-the-go snack options like Babybel cheese and pickles. And they have bags of chips by the counter for you to pick up.
Chocolate chip cookies, whole fruit, and Cuties are also available here, and they’re great to grab before jumping in line for The Haunted Mansion.
The grab-and-go options and slushies are available while the market is open, but the pretzel, hot dog, and turkey leg are only available after 11:00 a.m.
Now that we know the menu, let’s go eat!
Eats
First, we grabbed the All-Beef Hot Dog for $9.49. Sometimes all you need is familiar food on your Disney vacation, and this hot dog is great for that.
The hot dog held up well to being cut in half and was on a traditional white bun. It had a great “snap” to it when we bit in! It tasted fresh, and the bun was soft — it didn’t taste like it had been sitting out at all.
They had condiment options of ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, and barbecue sauce. This hot dog can be a bit on the pricier side since it doesn’t come with any sides, but we still enjoyed grabbing it to fuel up before standing in line at Peter Pan’s Flight.
Next, we got the iconic Turkey Leg for $13.49. This is a whole leg of turkey roasted and ready for you to dive right in.
Many prefer to grab it by the bone and eat it as they walk around, but we opted for the fork and knife option. It had a crispy layer of skin on the outside, which we loved the texture of, but found it a bit difficult to cut (or bite) into.
Once you get in, though, it has a smoky and salty flavor, and the meat is very juicy. There was a thick layer of fat on it, but we loved that it peeled right off. If you don’t mind taking the time to cut it up, which can be difficult with plastic cutlery, this can be great to share, especially if you pair it with a side.
Drinks
To drink, we grabbed the Frozen Slushy in Fanta Cherry and Fanta Blue Raspberry for $6.29. You can choose to have cherry, blue raspberry, or decide to mix them like us!
We were handed a hefty serving that we tried to drink quickly before the Florida heat could melt it. With our mixed flavors, the cherry was the stronger flavor, but neither was very prominent. Both had artificial flavors, which we love for slushies.
This slushy mostly tasted like ice but it did cool us down and would be great for sipping on while in line for your next attraction.
Nosh or Not
Liberty Square Market should be on your list if you…
- Want familiar food and classic Disney snacks
- Like to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere
- Need a quick snack before a bigger dining reservation later in the day
You should pass on this Magic Kingdom spot if you…
- Want more plant-based options
- Are looking for a longer dining experience
- Don’t want to sit outside and eat a hot meal
Overall
Liberty Square Market can be a great spot to grab a quick snack before continuing on with your adventure! Home to the Mickey pretzel, hot dog, and turkey leg, you’ll cross off some bucket list snacks while getting a chance to sit down in the shade. While we might recommend fuller quick-service options, don’t underestimate the power of a filling snack while you are hiking miles around the park.

This is my Go To on this side of Magic Kingdom! Lots of healthy, refreshing options! I love the watermelon! Never too crowded. Located just when one needs a pick-me-up and I enjoy the Christmas shop nearby before heading to Haunted Mansion. Thanks for showcasing it!
