Team Members Make THE Difference Here!

The Terra Luna team members are so happy to have guests in their hotel and tell them all about everything there is to do here. They were more than happy to share their best suggestions with us about everything from dining and drinks to ways to relax around the hotel. We loved getting their thoughts on their favorite things they’ve tried so far here and they were extremely knowledgeable about any questions we threw their way.

Trust us, we’ve been to countless hotel openings now and this was a huge relief to us as we were still learning our way around. Having team members working around the hotel who are able to speak to its layout, and amenities, and even give you more insight into food options you may be deciding between is invaluable to making you feel like a truly welcomed guest surrounded by experts. This hotel earned some major bonus points in our book for leaving such a positive first impression and experience!

Navigating The Hotel

Another huge GREEN FLAG for us was getting around this place. The lobby is within steps of the Universal Store, dining options, and the elevators to the upper floors. We found it very easy to navigate without getting turned around or lost in a new space and everything is as close as it could be to each other.

Again, we’ll also harken back to the previous point we just made that when we had a question about anything, the Team Members were super knowledgeable and willing to jump in to our aid. Embarrassing as it sounds, we’ve been known to be a bit directionally-challenged at times (especially learning a new place) and this hotel’s layout didn’t fluster us in the least bit.

The Food Here Is FAR Superior

Seriously, we could rave on our thoughts about the food here for hours. As our reporter who stayed here put it, she was “stunned by the quality” and from the pictures alone, it’s easy to see why. But, it wasn’t just how good the food tasted to us, it was also about how well it was priced that factored into our rating. The prices here are aligned more with the pricing we would expect from a quick service restaurant however, we were stunned when we received our food with restaurant quality taste.

The food is prepped and served quickly almost right in front of you and mainly focuses on sandwiches, pizza, and a few other popular grab-and-go options. Sometimes, dining at a hotel isn’t always our favorite, but we would totally visit this hotel again SOLELY for the food. Drinks at the bars were of the same caliber, with a fun atmosphere to surround you while you enjoyed your drinks.

It’s also worth mentioning that if you’re tired of the same ole, same ole you see over and over again at hotels and pool bars, you’ll be pleasantly surprised here! We thought this hotel offered a great variety of unique drinks to try and trust us when we say they were pretty tasty!

How’s The Room?

Prime Value hotels at Universal aren’t typically known for being the most plush but we were pleasantly surprised by a few things in these new accommodations. The rooms here are actually more spacious than we anticipated in comparison to some of their Prime Value resort counterparts.

We found them to be comfy and cozy with a little extra elbow room, but they’re definitely made to host four people or less in each. We loved that they come with their own themed showering amenities and soaps but have to admit beyond a few basic comforts, the rest of the room is rather minimal.

Location Could Be Your BIGGEST Frustration Right Now

We have to admit as smitten as we are with this hotel, it’s not easy to get to! We found it to be a little tough to navigate to the hotel right now. Since it is so new and surrounded by all the construction going on within Epic Universe and the new roads, most navigation maps and rideshares aren’t well-versed in how to get to these new hotels swiftly.

Watch for delays due to construction around the hotel

If you’re considering booking a stay here, we’d STRONGLY suggest that you anticipate and factor in some extra time for potential delays arriving at the hotel. Be prepared to pack your patience, potentially co-navigate, or spend some time working to get around the traffic and construction zones to reach the hotel. All of this extra arrival stress can lead you to feel like you’re wasting precious time on your vacation, so prepping for this could reduce the delay and frustration. It’s probably the one thing about this hotel that we actually take issue with right now, but, we can totally see this clearing up once the new roads are completed and all of the roads within the Epic Universe bubble are open and operating publicly.

Its Walkability Score Ranks Low

To our surprise, Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts are not exact copies of each other and there’s one glaring perk that we took notice of QUICKLY! From Terra Luna Resort, there’s no walkway over to Epic Universe like we spotted at Stella Nova Resort which is also a tad frustrating.

This one discrepancy could be a deciding factor for you if you’re having a hard time choosing between the two for your stay depending on how often you intend to visit Epic Universe and if walking over matters to you.

All in all, this is a fabulous hotel to stay in if you’re considering a visit to Universal Orlando soon. While its minimalistic approach keeps its pricing down, that doesn’t mean you should underestimate the charm found within! If the intergalactic theming isn’t quite what you’re looking for, the hotel more than makes up for it with its food and drink options. And, while it’s certainly one of the cheapest and newest hotel options to get you to Universal’s Epic Universe quicker, it seems you’ll need to stick to the complimentary Universal buses or book your own ride-share service if you’re in a hurry to get there!
