Okay, let’s talk about Universal Orlando. Yes, we know, we know — we’ve been talking about Universal Orlando a lot, but can you blame us? Epic Universe is opening so soon and we’ve had SO many details to share about the new park recently.

So, as you may know, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be expanding thanks to Epic Universe, when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic opens with the new park. However, let’s take it back to the ORIGINAL Wizarding World park, Universal Islands of Adventure. One of the first Harry Potter rides (and still one of the more popular rides in the park) will be closing soon. Yep, we’re talking about Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

You’ll find Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey INSIDE Hogwarts Castle at Universal Islands of Adventure. The attraction takes you through a walk through the castle (which is VERY cool) and onto a ride where you join Harry and his friends on a journey that takes you soaring over the rooftops of Hogwarts. This (sometimes nauseating) ride is also one of the most popular. However, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey will be closing on April 9th.

Hogwarts at Universal Orlando

We noticed this closure when we looked at the Universal Orlando calendar for April 9th. However, according to Universal, this closure is just for one day and it will reopen on April 10th.

The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle will also be closed on April 9th, too, which makes sense if Universal is going to be working on the ride.
