Get ready to turn into your own Marvel superhero!
Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus has given parkgoers the opportunity to meet their favorite Marvel superheroes and enter the world of Marvel through a couple of attractions since it opened in 2021. However, one major criticism since opening is that it might not be enough. The scope of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is massive — it is the highest-grossing box office franchise of all time — so it’s unsurprising that guests often feel the Avengers-inspired land could do more. Well, Disney’s heard the fans and plans to DOUBLE the attractions within the land, including a brand-new Iron Man-themed thrill attraction!
Stark Flight Lab is part of the new Avengers Campus expansion!
While we’re still learning about this ride, we do know that it will have passengers sit in two-person pods that get deployed to a test station where they will be grabbed by a robot arm and then moved around in a simulated flight. Disney also teased ride variation, making sure this is a unique ride experience that will garner repeat rides.
Here’s a look at the NEWLY REVEALED ride system for the attraction!
Stark Flight Lab will also be joined by the other new attraction: Avengers Infinity Defense! According to Disney, this Avengers Campus ride features a scenario where “technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere.”

Avengers Infinity Defense will have guests join in battle across the multiverse alongside the Avengers to defeat King Thanos and recover stolen Stark technology.
Riders will board their vehicle and join the Avengers as they visit Marvel locations such as Wakanda and Asgard while taking on King Thanos in a large battle across the multiverse.
We can’t WAIT to jump on both of these new Marvel rides! In the meantime, continue to follow us here at DFB for all the latest Avengers Campus and Disneyland news!

What do you think about these rides? Let us know in the comments!
Great news! And here are my 3 wishes:
1) that Avengers Infinity Defence will be similar to Star Tours or Cali Indiana Jones in intensity so I can actually ride it 😉
2) that Captain Marvel will be included and her merch will see a much-needed upswing (even in DLP with her own ride and 4 months after The Marvels release, her merch was surprisingly and disappointingly low-key)
3) that the ride will receive the same east-of-the-Mississippi exemption that allowed Cosmic Rewind to be built in Epcot. Fingers crossed on all fronts!
I want a GOTG: Cosmic Rewind-style ride in CA! Please, please, please!!
