It’s finally happening!
Back in August 2024 it was announced that changes would be coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to bring the upcoming storylines from the upcoming Star Wars film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, hitting theaters in 2026, to the ride. Now we finally know that the change will be happening on May 22nd, 2026!
The new storyline for the ride will involve both the Mandalorian and Grogu and will be implemented at the rides in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World and Disneyland Park. In August, Lucasfilm creative executive Dave Filoni told the D23 crowd, “Just imagine it: you’ll be able to fly alongside Mando and Grogu on thrilling, and dangerous, missions.”
The new adventure on Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run will coincide with the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu on Memorial Day Weekend 2026. There will be two new missions to embark on: one in movie form and one in the form of a new mission on Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
In addition, to the Mandalorian and Grogu joining the mission on Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, there will also be new places to explore! Imagineers were on the set of the new movie to capture scenes for the new attraction mission. Onboard Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run you will be able to take a trip to Cloud City.
And even the ruins of the Death Star!
We’re so excited! Imagineers worked alongside Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni to create the new mission for the attraction. Don’t miss the debut of the new mission on May 22nd, 2026.
