The Enchanted Mic Podcast wrote, “Use paper maps and no cellphones,” and we just have to say…COULD YOU IMAGINE?! Well…kinda, right? We don’t want to age ourselves, but you don’t become Disney World experts without having some sort of memory of the days of old when paper maps were common practice and the My Disney Experience app didn’t exist. Hey, Disney World really leans into nostalgia, so why not embrace a different era when you visit?
Reader Cath wrote, “Skip table dining. Share quick service or kids meals and snacks! You can sample more and save a fortune.” That’s a really bold tip, but we actually understand it. If you’re budgeting and want to try a little of everything, this tip can be useful! Chaotic? Yes. Pragmatic? Also yes.
Reader Erin suggested something only few can do: visit four parks in one day.

If you have the park-hopper ticket add-on, this is technically possible, but you better have the energy and a willing spirit to accomplish this!
Rope drop came up quite a bit, too. Reader Syd wrote, “There is nothing more chaotic than rope drop… you are literally taking a chance to get injured by getting push[ed], shoved, walked over, and don’t forget about the strollers coming for your ankles…It’s worth it, but so chaotic.”
Reader Stephanie added, “Rage days at [Magic Kingdom] – where you get there an hour before rope drop and stay a full 15-plus hours doing every single ride and show. It’s a total chaotic blitz.”
Disney Adults Are DIVIDED Over This Controversial Park Tip
Rope dropping is not for the faint of heart, and there are just as many Disney enthusiasts that refuse to partake as those who swear by it. All we know is that rope dropping is MOST DEFINITELY chaotic.
And then there were some incredibly chaotic (and funny) tips! Reader Meghan wrote “Eat all the SUGAR” while Reader Margaret-Ann wrote, “Give a toddler a Mickey bar.” What’s a Disney World vacation without a little anarchy, after all?

We are long-time paper map – quick service people, although I caved a few years ago and bought a smart phone specifically so we could do mobile order and use the various Disney apps if needed. Still pick up a map when we first enter a park (okay, two). We might get to a park early enough for the extra half hour in the morning for onsite guests, but many mornings we take it easy with a big breakfast in our resort food court before heading to a park. NO desire to be trampled as a start to our day.
Don’t buy/use lightning lanes/multi pass/premier pass. Forces you to slow down and really think about how much you want to ride/see something. Plus, you save money which can be spent on the important things likeDole Whip.
