Argh! We are so ready for Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern to open in Magic Kingdom!
Disney has been teasing us with information, and today, we got a behind-the-scenes look at this experience.
The Pirates-themed tavern is set to open in late 2025 and will continue the storyline of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Disney says it will be a “first-of-its-kind experience.”
While Disney has shown some concept art, we don’t know too much about what’s going on in the space. We do know that The Barker Bird, also known as Peg Leg Pete, who used to greet guests at the attraction, will be joining the lounge. The lounge will be family-friendly, serve a variety of food and beverages, and have some “magical surprises.”
Disney Imagineering took us behind the construction walls to show us how the tavern looks. We joined Montse, an Assistant Producer for Disney Imagineering, who used to work on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and she showed us the concept art versus the space.
Montse showed us one of the dining spaces, the Captain’s Quarters! Yes, it looks a little bare, but soon enough, it will be filled with lots of Disney magic.
She also showed us the main dining room! The tavern will be in Adventureland, and we’re so excited to see if it’s more of a restaurant or lounge or exactly like a tavern!
There are so many new attractions and themed areas coming to Disney World, and we’re excited about them all. From Cars Land and Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom to another lounge in EPCOT and a new Indiana Jones and Encanto area for Animal Kingdom, we are keeping our eyes open to all the details we can find.
Make sure you stay up to date with Disney Food Blog to be the first to know about these brand new details coming to Disney Parks.

Asking for a friend — Will alcohol be served? ??
I think they should be planning an adults-only lounge behind the “family oriented ” lounge. If I explained why, some people would get mad at me.
