It’s no secret that we have quite a long list of favorite foods you’ll find around Disney World. Corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner? Check. Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen? Check. But, just because we have our top eats doesn’t mean we’re not always looking for MORE snacks to add to our favorites list.
We heard there were some new treats available at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, so you know we had to RUN to go check it out. How does it compare to the other sweet treats we’ve tried from this bakery? Let’s dig in and find out!
The first new treat that we tried has arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s the Amour de Macaron for $14.99. Yes, before you ask, it’s shaped like a heart. ?This tasted like the Marie Antoinette version we previously had here, which had a sort of rose macaron thing going on. However, the heart shape makes it a little more fun.
However, we did get more of the lemon curd in it and it seems like the heart shape makes it a bit more crumbly. The raspberries and raspberry jam just pulls it all together, flavor-wise. It’s a nice Valentine’s Day treat.
We also tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie for $16.99. Our reporter described this as a Reese’s Pieces cup in mousse pie form. It also melts REALLY fast in the heat. It’s very rich, and the chocolate on the outside is nice and thick. The peanut butter mousse is like whipped peanut butter, and all the flavors just come together.
The crust was like a chocolate Oreo crumble. Basically, if you love Reese’s, GET THIS PIE. Our only thing is that we don’t feel the size necessarily justifies $17.
Finally, we HAD to get a slice of the Coconut Cake, which is a seasonal offering. It’s $22.99 for a slice. We did notice that it didn’t hold together as well as some of the other cake slices here, but that’s a minor complaint. The vanilla cake is interwoven with layers of icing and coconut shavings, and it’s just DECADENT in all the right ways.
The cake is moist, too. We will say that this isn’t our FAVORITE slice here, but we think coconut cake fans are going to love it.

Definitely when we arrive in sept , that peanut butter slice looks ?, been meaning to visit, we are from the land of cake and tea after all , the good ole UK , yes it’s pricey, but you can share , so its not so bad , and it’s a real treat . I hope it’s a success . Defo belongs alone the boardwalk
Not a chance, not a cake in the world worth $23.00 a slice even with cost of eggs. Another example of price gouging in WDW.
Thanks for letting us know the prices of the PIECE of cake. We had want to go but not now. Talk about over pricing . No piece of cake is worth those prices. Even with the price increase of the ingredient no piece of cake is worth those prices.
