One of Our Favorite Snacks Is GONE From Karamell Küche in EPCOT!

We thought the month of February was supposed to bring us joy and love, at the very least sweets and chocolate, but for fans of Karamell-Küche in EPCOT, be prepared to be filled with sadness.

Don’t worry — the store itself isn’t going anywhere! We have some favorite treats that we LOVE to get here, and we also recommend that YOU to grab them while you’re on vacation, but we’ve just found out that one of our favorite snacks has disappeared again…and we’re pretty sad about it.

Karamell-Küche has a myriad of snacks throughout the year that we adore, but there are a few seasonal ones that break our hearts when they leave each time. One of those is the incredible Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich, which arrived as a year-round treat in 2022, but quickly returned to being a seasonal offering after that. SAD!

We saw its return for the holiday season in September 2024, and now it appears it’s time for it to go into hibernation until the holiday season arrives once again. This treat is delicious caramel buttercream smushed between two soft and chewy gingerbread cookies, and we don’t think there’s such a thing as having too much of it.

It’s MASSIVE

Instead, it’s been replaced by the Caramel Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie, which appears to be similar to the Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwich we’ve seen for years over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The only major difference appears to be that this one has caramel and the filling is a little more similar to caramel buttercream rather than the cream cheese frosting filling you’ll find with the Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwich.

Despite the sign saying it’s new, we have seen this one before, so while it’s new for this year, it’s not new overall. It’s good, don’t get us wrong, but we’ll miss our Gingerbread Salted Caramel Buttercream Cookie Sandwich for now.
