We need to talk about autograph books.
For decades, they’ve been a central souvenir at the heart of the Disney theme park experience as kids — and even some adult collectors — use them to gather signatures from all their favorite Disney character performers. However, the cold truth is that you should never buy one at the parks simply due to the prices.

On a recent visit to the Magic Kingdom, we paid a visit to the Emporium and checked out the autograph book selection. There’s a 2025 variant as seen above, as well as a pair of Minnie Mouse-specific books…
… each of which features 3D decoration.
Each of these books cost $19.99, which can be ascertained by their GREEN price tags.
A deluxe book package, which features an autograph book…
… as well as a pen and photo pages, is also available.
As evidenced by its MAGENTA price tag costs $27.99.
Amazon Autograph Book
Compare that to this option on Amazon, which is currently available for under $10 and includes a book and pen. That price difference alone definitely makes it worth picking up an autograph book prior to vacation.
Other Options
In addition to cheaper autograph books, buying beforehand can also allow for some more creative options. Some fans will bring other collectibles to get signed, including action figures, album sleeves, and our personal pick The Mickey’s Walt Disney World Adventure Little Golden Book, which is currently available for around $5.00. This is so fun because you can have characters sign the different Disney World pages and then you have a book and an adorable keepsake.
While it can be tempting to pick up an autograph book at Walt Disney World, picking one up beforehand is definitely a more cost-effective option. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World tips!
People complain about Disney adults being in line to see characters, well, this Disney adult hates the autograph books. These books slow the lines to a crawl. I think they are ok at a character meal–they have more time at the table.
