Between Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and Luminous: The Symphony of Us at EPCOT, Walt Disney World has some of the best nighttime shows! But nothing tops Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which you can see at both Disneyland Resort and Disney World.

Disney just released a behind-the-scenes look into Fantasmic! and we’re loving all of these details!
Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios is a nighttime spectacular that takes you through Mickey’s dreams and shows you the importance of imagination. This 29-minute show plays nightly in an outdoor amphitheater where you’ll see your favorite Disney characters, including Moana, Elsa, Aladdin, and Pocahontas. With water projections, crazy stunts, and a 40-foot-tall dragon, this is a great family-friendly show you’ll want to add to your next Studios day.
Fantasmic!
Every night, the cast members of Fantasmic! run a test show to make sure everything is running smoothly before the real shows later that night. The cast and crew do this after a full walkthrough of the stage and while the test show is running, some crew members are harnessed up to watch from the side!

We even got to see an up-close look into the steamboat at the end of the show! The steamboat looks fairly plain up close, but when it’s filled with your favorite characters at the end, we’re more focused on the stunning costumes.

Disney showed us what Fantasmic! looks like from inside the steamboat, too! We can see the driver focusing on the boat while Stitch is outside waving his flag.

Ready to catch a showing after learning some behind-the-scene facts? Check the My Disney Experience app for nightly showtimes, and make sure you arrive early to the amphitheater!
